Ok, so I have heard some using stainless mesh as a wick in the eRoll. Anyone have experience with this? Some say it is an improvement but I have also heard it can give an off taste?

Also, anyone have a video link to share showing how it is done?

by the way, there is a huge thread here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/general-e-smoking-discussion/340059-joyetech-eroll.html

on the eroll for those interested. I just find the thread too long to find answers to specific questions.

Really this product should have it's own sub forum.

This is where i did it

Just be careful pulling the spike out, if you use pliers you can dent that spike itself and it could cause your atty to make the eroll leak. I recommend using a jewelers screwdriver to pry it out rather than grab and pull out with pliers now

I followed the videos and made a few but can't seem to get it just right. The wick is either too tight and the wick can't keep up or too loose and juice gets everywhere in the cone area and seeps out of the lower end of the cone by the battery. When I take out the atomizer there is even some juice on the battery connection which I have to damp dry out.

Anyway, my questions are..

1. Has anyone figured out the best amount of mesh (measurements appreciated as to size of the piece of mesh)? And,
2. The number of wraparounds (and what do you use for this, ie, toothpick or paper clip) to make a perfect wick with ss mesh?

I think the last ones I did were between 35 and 40 mm.

Just roll it to fit. Didn't use any thing to wrap around. The first time it was too loose and actually came loose into the tank. I just made them a little longer so they were a snug fit.

Thanks junkman. I've been messing around with it and it is snug in the atomizer post. It seems to be working better now!

Is there wick material in the coil of these atomizers? I haven't completely pulled one apart yet.

There is no wicking on the coil itself. Making the coil impossible to replace IMO, unless you really wanted to practice some fine electrical work. I did the foolish choice of removing the wick to switch it, and I barely got it to work again stuffing new silica into it (silica doesn't led itself well to being forced into that small space). I want to get some SS mesh eventually, along with the AGA-T+.
