99.9% of the time its a coil problem.

does the provari typically vary on atty ohms? i just popped another head on there and first time it said LO, then quickly went to 3.0 (atty head is rated at 2.8). i immediately tried it again and it said 2.7 then flashed to 3.1.
ive seen it change real quick at first, but ive never seen the LO, or widely different ranges.
edit: the widely different ranges settled, but i still wonder what the LO is. does anyone have a copy of the manual, or maybe know what LO means?

Hi,
yes the "OP" code means the resistance is broken, or possibly the atty isn't making proper connection to the provari 510 socket.
both my provaris take half a second or so for stabilizing the reading of the atty resistance, so I consider some initial reading fluctuation to be 'normal'.
what's less normal for me is that the resistance reading of the very same atty always differs between my two provaris (1 mini, 1 v2), by approx 0.2 ohm, but that's another story...
never experienced the LO reading, though, so can't help on that.
thanks for your advice. its a vivi nova tank and the post doesnt appear to be adjustable.? i
think i will hold off on trying anything until i hear back from the vendor. im guessing that this is just a bad tank and im expecting a refund.
you welcome. yes that's what I'd do for trying to pinpoint where the problem lies... I'd bet it's not in the provari 510 threading itself, that thing is built like a steel tank, so - excluding the atty head - most probably it's in the connection(s) after that.thanks for your help, xpen. at first i thought it was the atty head that was DOA. then i tried another atty head and i got the same problem from that one. so now im thinking something might be wrong with the connection between the atty head and the tank maybe. i really dont know. maybe i should try the non-working atty heads on a tank that i know works for sure.
