m night shyamalan has done the best comic book movie ever with UNBREAKABLE. Not a super hero movie like they do now but so much like a comic book. check it out. First movie I saw that Bruce had to act and could really act..
Not really a Sc-fi movie but the director's name came up and I had to plug UNBREAKABLE..

I thoroughly enjoyed Unbreakable. That's what made me think of The Sixth sense, even though it's not as good.
I saw this when I was a kid, and the viewer was WAY more cool than covering your eyes with your fingers, and then peeking thru them!!! 
The Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury. I've read it four times and seen the series twice.
