I preach vaping as a way of life to EVERY smoker I interact with.....In a good way of course :). I do not get a good response most of the time . What are your experiences??

Rusty

I say absolutely nothing until they approach me, then show em how it works. It's a duplicate of the "how to score the hot chick at the party" method.

lol i'm at work right now and i was outside smoking my pv and a girl came up and light a cig and then she was my sd and was like whats that??? so i gave her a lil explanation and demonstration, n she was like i'll have to buy one. Its good feeling knowing that you might help someone off the cancer sticks.

Rusty

Well Rusty if the wana die a slow painful death from all the health issues related to smoking thats their business, but i'm so thankful that i found this product (pv's in general) and its worked miracles for me, and if i can quit smoking anyone can. I smoked 2-3 packs of Marlboro reds for 10 years. Ever since I quit i've been feeling so much better about myself and I just hope maybe my story might inspire someone who wants to quit but is having a hard time!!!!!!!!!! (here's a few exclamation marks of my own lol )

I agree with you Crash. I smoked for Barnsley but I realised with birth of Roman (my baby) that my family is important! Goodbye smoke, you evil stinking ****..... Hello LIFE!!!!!

Rusty

Roman is a cool name, do you call him Rome sometimes?? Anyway I know what you mean I think every time i quit smoking i missed the feeling, i've always looked at smoking as a hobby/social activity, and once i got a few pv's it really did become a hobby. I had so many people nagging me to quit before, and well it was hard, well for me anyway because it was just more then the nicotine addiction. I always missed the feeling of holding something in my hand when I was walking to work or college or you know just whenever I had nothing to do, or I was looking for a way to pass sometime. You guys ever notice when you encounter a cig smoker now, like if someone walks past you and they've been smoking, and you're like wow did I you to smell like that???

Ay up Crash,

We call Roman allsorts, depending upon his mood :D. I suffered bad CO withdrawal when I first started vaping. I could not cope with feeling ALIVE again - I started being hyperactive at the school I teach at and the kids now think I am crackers :). I have since calmed down.

Rusty

You gota admit its a great feeling dontchaaa?? No shortness of breath, not smelling like a ashtray, not having to go outside and stand in some corner to avoid the rain, oh and the best part is no one can tell you "oh you're gona give you self lung cancer" actually no wait I think the best part is you're not helping to put more money in the government's pockets.

I don't tend to approach people. But I've converted one person at work through example.

And on another occasion. I work in a building with offices upstairs and a print shop and depot downstairs. I go down to the loading bay to smoke, even with an e-cig. The other day the boss down there came charging up to me and said

"What the f*** are you smoking?"
I explained.
"That's f***ing wicked!" he exclaimed before disapearing off again.

Amused me no end.

I have vaped in my department at work but I still get other people who use our facilities who are anti anything that may even be marginally asociated with smoking. I even showed them the Dr Oetker Glycerine I had been using but they still smelled smoke!!

Rusty

Rusty the other day I was at my gf's house and well they're all anti smoking Nazi's there, so just for kicks because I used to always smell like smoke, I asked hey do i smell like smoke?? and her sister was yea you do. And i hadn't touched a cig in over 3 weeks. So that just goes to show that you just can't change some peoples minds. They've always been anti smoking, so why would an e-cig be any different to them? It's all about control in the end.

Fortunately most people I work with are smokers, so it's not an issue at the office. I don't think anyone there is ready to give up their tobacco yet though! It is amusing that I no longer have to step outside in the rain with them though, and they give me the daggers when I'm at the doorway inside. Hehe

ugh another person that can smoke at work, why wont they let me do it!!!!!!

I keep my PV in my shirt pocket and while home or driving have gotten into the habit of pulling it out (the PV), do a quick drag, and stick in back in my pocket. This has become so second nature to me that I do it unconsciously at times. I was in a meeting at work the other day sitting in the conference room with about 8 other people (boss included) and without even thinking pulled out the PV, took a drag, and stuck it back in my pocket.

Needless to say everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at me, and one guy said, "Are you smoking??" to which I suddenly found myself in the position of explaining and demonstrating it. I am the only smoker but there were two ex-smokers that found it interesting (ex-smokers because their spouses made them quit, not because they wanted to).

They let me do it once they found out it wasn't smoke, but out of respect I decided to hold off (this was before I started snusing too so now I just snus at work).

Snus is not snuff, dip, or chew. It's spit-less pouches. The Swedes (where it started) have been using it for 200 years and have the lowest rate of cancers (including oral) and tobacco related illnesses in Europe, plus it's regulated by the Swedish equivalent of the FDA. There have been many scientific studies on snus that show its much healthier than smoking (General ® Snus | The Original Swedish Snus ™ by Swedish Match ©).

The advantage to snus is you can do it anywhere, including work, movie theaters, friend's homes or cars, or anywhere you can't vape. I find it provides me with plenty of nicotine to satisfy my craving.

It's just another "safer" alternative to smoking or "harm reduction" product to help us avoid going back to analogs (especially if we can no longer get e-cigs in the near future).

Edit: Sorry, I just saw you were in Ireland, not sure if you can even get it.
