I had order some Camel flavor from Evapers.com and I really loved it. I have never smoked Camel cigarettes so I have no idea what they are supposed to taste like I just know I liked the Evapers Camel flavor.

Recently I had ordered some DIY Desert Ship flavor from Happy Vapors based on the description I assumed it was the same Camel flavor I purchased from Evapers, maybe it might be a tad off but basically the same.

Well I have been trying to mix up a batch a few times and it doesnt seem to even come close to what the taste of the Evapers flavor was. I tried mixing a small amount A drop to 3ml then 2 drops then 3, it never tastes like the camel from evapors and then It gets to the point that I get that perfumey flavor and I know I am using too much.

Has anyone else had the camel flavor from Evapers, am I totally off here in assuming it's the same flavor. I also ordered some Camel Ultimate flavor in the hope that it will be the taste i am trying to match.

Dont misunderstand I am not saying there is anything wrong with the Desert Ship, then again I can say that either, just looking from some insight into this.

Desert ship needs to be mixed at 10-15%, then it tastes like the Erinmore pipe tobacco.

Disclaimer: This flavour is not for everyone.

BTW: Fa tobacco flavours if used on their own need to be mixed at 10% or better usually hovering at 12-13%

Dark vapure at 12% gives of nuances of cocoa, coffee, and vanilla. Vaped at 6V ohlala. that's all I have to say. The subtleties do not come out at 3.7V, nice, but not complex.

Camel is no where near desert ship. I have a bottle from Evapers, that being said, it is nowhere near Camel either.

Nope I vaped them from 1-5%, then MaxUt introduced me to 10-12% and he likes them strong as well, and yeah! he hit it on the head. No need for PGA with these babies.

A caveat both Max and I are X premium cigar and pipe smokers, and any weaker than 10% the "real" flavour isn't coming through.

Give it a whirl, you might surprise yourself ;)

Thanks Switch that answers my question. I was going for that Evapers camel taste and it looks like I am not going to get it out of Desert Ship.

I know you have gone through quit a bit of the flavorings out there do you know of anything that comes close to the Evapers Camel. I have already got an order of the FA Camel Ultimate in transit, hoping that will come close.

I mixed up a batch of that Dark Vapur, it had a nice taste but I made it a little too weak, add another drop to a 6ml batch. I am trying to avoid perfume aftertaste I sometimes get when I have add to much of the flavor.

Camel has never been my forte, so I do not know. That being said if Fa makes a "camel" flavour, that would be the one. I would start around 8% (with the others), that is where I was at until Max had me take the plunge.

I know you like the FA strong by what you are saying, but you might ruin some people with those amounts if they start out at such high percentages. It is much better for someone that dont know to start at a lower amount with them and add if need be. Im not knocking you or anything just putting in my .02. As I am personally content with most of them at no more then 4% and think its real strong at that.

True and partially correct. Please observe I was answering a individual e.g the quoted text, vice the thread in general.

I support what you are saying, but at lower concentration they do appear much stronger and harsher IMO. I did the gamut of 1, 2, 3 % ect... and it wasn't until 6% that they started to turn around. 8% was pretty good and I left it at that, with a drop or two of EM to take away the dryness. Then I got some recipes off Max, he had nailed it IMO. So we are not re-inventing the wheel here. It isn't until about 8-10 % that the "nuances" or the true tobacco taste we are trying to emulate comes shining through.

I have a couple of bottles of the Camel Ultimate coming from HV, hoping that will hit the mark. The Desert Ship is not a bad flavor, just not what I was looking for. I did mix some up with the Virginia flavor and some honey flavor that seem to come close. Just doesnt have the earth, hay flavor.

I am going Jack up the flavor on the Dark Vapor to 8% then star pushing up and see what happens.

Duly noted Switch, just didnt want a Noobie hitting a 8% note on a Desert Ship and blowing his taste buds LOL
Hey I am cool with that.

In all honesty, Desert Ship tastes like shetz. It has strong floral perfumy understones, some have even described it as soapy. These folks are all accurate with their description. I tried ramping it all the way up to 5%, still yuck. So I decided to go for broke 12%, now we are talking. The "floral tones" are still very much there but so is the richness of the tobacco that comes through from a Cavendish.

A caveat here these are all vaped at 5V or better. BTW Desert Ship will ruin an atty, for taste that is. I mistakingly dropped two drops of DS in my DV atty. 3 days later there is still DS present every now and again.

Thes blends are meant to be enjoyed as a pipe or cigar vape, and not as a regular vape perse. It is definitely not a "first thing in the morning" vape. It will knock the back of your head off. From Max:

<<First, I must say that I like strong flavorful tobaccos. I enjoyed the intensity of pipe smoke (though the 'bite' of many blends limited my enjoyment of them) and also preferred Dutch Shag rollies to ordinary American cigarettes. English Ovals were the lightest-tasting cigarettes I liked.>>

For non pipe smokers, the bite he is referring to is also known as "tongue bite". Sometime this goes away, sometimes not with prolongued use. Blue Throst was an extremely enjoyable tobacco, waaaaaaay too much "bite".

I hear you, that was the problem I was having with the desert ship. I thought i was getting an earth blend and I got floral. I thought i was using too much but it turns out that is what it is supposed to taste like. I soaked the atty for a few days in some alcohol and lemon juice and that did a pretty good job of removing the floral taste, still too a few days of vaping to get rid of it completely.

Lord Vapor.Just to let you know I order all my juice from evapers. Always great service and so far I always get the same great taste.Just got some 555 and apple and love both.I also love them mixed together.Great taste.

I order from them all the time. In fact I am headed to the mailbox to pickup another order from the right now. What I am trying to do is find a DIY flavor that is similar to the Camel I get from evapers. They do not sell any DIY flavors or this would be simple.

My shipment of Camel Ultimate came in today, I have a small batch brewing will probably know by tonight whether this is the taste I am looking for. I also took Switches advice and ordered some marshmellow to try and take and edge off the dryness.

I also got my regular order of Camel form evapers along with some 555, flue cured and turkish blend. They all taste pretty green right now so I'm going to let them sit for a week or so.
