Ever dry burned a Nautilus coil??

Hey everyone, so last night I soak a nautilus coil in warm water and then let it dry out for more than 12 hours, and then I tried to dry burn it. When I was dry burning it, the inside of the head kept bubbling, Nomatter how many times I fired it. So I decided just to try it and it tastes HORRIBLE! Is it a gonner??

I tried dry burning one as well and if I remember right I got a constant burnt taste with it after that and ended up having to toss it. This sucks because it was burning off a lot of gunk but I think it burnt the filler inside too or something causing the bad taste.

I tried it too, same terrible taste. I can't dry burn anything though, it always tastes scorched to me afterwords.

I believe it was the pbusardo (sp?) YouTube video review, the battle of the tanks, where he opens up a coil. Its got a poly fill wrap around the actual coils and wick material. Hunt down the video and you'll see why you can't dry burn them without disassembly.
