Ok, here it is... EverCool v v Tekk mod v2

CHANGES:
1. Atty connector relocated, in place/instead of, flashlight LED (see pic).
2. Variable Voltage Adjusting screw relocated next to USB ports (see pic).
3. Master switch for Tekkeon unit now doubles as Master power for atty circuit too (see pic).
4. Fire switch is now relocated in center of concave curve on side of unit (see pic).

Still charges from any USB port and is also a TRUE 3.1 thru 5.5 volt passthrough
Still will charge anything </= 5volts that can plug into the USB out. Any questions post here or PM me...
Does not come with syringe mod, I ran out, more supplies coming, will let you know when I am making them again.

Get a Kit, comes with the Volt Meter (see pic) For $145.00 +$5 S&H
$125 with no meter... this is way harder to make this way, than the version one... Takes almost twice as long to make it this way... it's still the cheapest, best looking vari-volt out there.
Pay Pal ID givesuhe11@yahoo.com

NOTE: This will actually adj voltage up to 6.1 volts but I am ABSOLUTELY not responsible for it if you push it that far out of specifications!

Actually, that is yours... and it's halfway on its way to you now... these turned out Sweeeet... I want one now... gonna sell mine (with the atty connector at the opposite end) to someone cheap ($60?) 'cause it's used... If I had realized how much better it looked instead of the flashlight LED I would have made them like this in the first place... lol. YOU'RE EXCITED? I can't wait for you to get it (and 3 other people) and RAVE about it!
But it is harder to do it this way... that's the reason for the price hike... you got a DEAL MAN!!

I know I got a STEAL

I'm not even looking at the tracking again, fingers crossed it comes today, but probably tomorrow if not. One question: I got some of the new 510 clearomizer things and they seem to blow - or else I haven't figured out how to use them right yet. Is there any trick with the syringe mods to filling or anything?

Yeah right... who you trying to kid... you checked tracking 10 times today... lol... I don't know about the new clearomizers... but if you follow the instructions I included with my syringe mod... and stand on your head while holding an egg on your foot and reciting the Gettysberg Address... They fill magically by themselves with whatever flavor that HotChick in your avatar is concentrating on... LOL!!!

J/K... just follow the directions I included and its easy sleeeezy to fill... two ways to fill them... RTFM!!

She's thinking about how much she is in love with Friedrich Hayek.

Anyhow though, it's here! I don't have much time yet but I wanted to test it so I fit on one of the 306's that didn't fit in my other 6V mod. Even set at default 4.3 and these being HV atties, it performs about as nice as at 6V on the other device, if not better. Whatever flavors were in my atty before, I think coffee-cream-hazelnut praline, combined with the green tea-honeysuckle-liquid amber-pear blend I just put in, somehow came out tasting like Baskin Robbins old flavor Daquiri Ice. This has nothing to do with the mod, but it just freaked me out.

I don't know why I anticipated it being bigger, but it is a perfect size. I'll be back with more impressions later when I can play around with it.

I am pretty happy with this thing. The syringe mod was super easy to fill and tastes better than the newest CE2's even after I kinda got better at using them. No funky taste at all. So, I have a couple questions and maybe they will help others as well.

I know you told me but what Ohm are the carto-mods? I don't follow the mod tech forum, so what is the story behind the Evercool in the name of the circuitry?

I hastily tried one of my 3.5 Ohm 306's earlier and it seriously vaped better than my other mod on 6V. Maybe it was a little less of a crankin' hard hit but the juice in it lasted way longer. Still I didn't have to take long puffs at all to get nice hits, and I could have turned the voltage up if I wanted to. Maybe whatever power coming out of the batteries is all the same, but somehow it worked way better.

The other thing is: Say I have it set at 4V or something, then I plug it in through USB, is it then 5V or 4V? I guess I could meter that, but also What if I plug in a 5V or 3.7V passthrough? All I have is some dumb kr8 passthrough, but I was just curious how the wiring worked.

Those are new ce2's in there! TThere's just more room now for them to wick up... Wayyy better.

3ohm

I don't follow the mod tech forum, so what is the story behind the Evercool in the name of the circuitry?

a guy in the modders forum made and demonstrated the circuit... and he christened it EverCool, because it runs so cool... not like a linear regulator that dissipates the excess volts as heat... you start with 2 batts in series, fully charged upwards 8.4 volts... regulate it down with this TI circuit and you have variable voltage, it kinda hits the atty like 1000 times a second... on off on off on off... so fast its like its on but no heat to dissipate, it doesn't stay on continually as you press the button like a linear reg. It also helps the batts last a little longer this way too...

I don't know what 6v mod you're using but if its just straight 6v with two 3v batts in series and no regulator then everytime you fire the atty its draining the bats at full voltage and that goes down with every fire... they are at full power every time you fire. Whatever you have my mod set at it will fire at that voltage and stay there steady till the batts drain down to just under where you have it set at... then the regulator cuts off and time to recharge... but don't let it go that far... lol... charge at least every 2-3 days... And the light on the Tekk should tell you anyways... when it turns a yellowish orange, for sure charge it... if it goes to dark/intense red.. you could damage the batts if you vape when its that color...

Ok... this is TRUE passthrough vaping... I wire this on two circuits... the charging circuit is what comes with the Tekk unit and I add a separate circuit of the evercool... its for the atty connector only... when you vape no matter if its solo mobile or on usb passthrough the voltage is what you've set it to...it doesn't care that the batts are charging its gonna keep the voltage steady at what you've set it at... 4v? that's it. 4.78? thats it. Since you're not holding the fire button forever, when you let go, it continues charging... When you're on usb... you're vaping off the batteries... not the usb port.

I just recommend you don't charge a device on the usb output and vape at the same time.... that would probably cut the TI chip off and may damage it then you have just a battery backup again...

EDIT... I reread what you said last... I wouldn't vape from a passthrough out the USB output port on this... first, I don't think it has the amps to do that... and second, don't do it... lol... I think the usb output port is made to just give a steady trickle charge just to recharge devices like cell phones or mp3 players... and remember... if you charge something up it cuts your batteries short... so you won't be vaping as long... I have charged up an eGo mega battery and still ran for 2 days before it needed charging... and I have charged my cell phone up twice in 3 days and still vaped (after I unplugged my cell phone of course) the whole 3 days.

The longest I've gone vaping, and I vape 6ml a day at least, is 5 and a half days before needing a charge...

I never used CE2 r4 or lower, guessing that is what you mean. I've been using the very recently released "clearomizers" "r5" from gotvapes. I think the wick is a little different on those, like untwisted a little-looking, so when they get wet they almost disappear. Anyhow, I have no issues wicking yours so far for a mL or so of juice. Theirs aren't so great and their instructions seem wrong. You need to take another layer of cappage out (or loosen maybe) to get them to wick right.

Actually, I think my problem with those might only be that I was running too low of ohm for the volts, but 3.7V shouldn't be too bad for 2.6-2.8 Ohm cartos. When I put the voltage on your 3 Ohm mod up to like 4.6-4.7 it got a touch of the similar bad flavor as the clearomizers. I'm vaping a light flavor and can just turn down voltage, so again no problems.

The rest of this was really helpful in understand why this owns so much compared to the Precise18 I was vaping (1x 3.7V or 2 stacked 3.2 LifeP04). I saw the other cisco mod that may never happen thread so I was familiar with the idea of being regulated. I'll follow the instructions otherwise, no need to use a passthrough except to dual vape and look like a fool. I'm in hibernation mode so I will just charge the night when I see orange or something. That is pretty awesome that I can take this camping for the weekend once it warms up with no need for backups and maybe charge something if needed.

When you said longest you needed, 5 1/2 days, you mean into red and running out, or how long average until I get into orange? And another dumb question: The master switch is Off >> On >> blinky light symbol... Okay I realized as I am typing that it must be for the removed flashlight... lol... but I was wondering for half an hour.

Thanks, too late to wait now, but probably not too late to pawn them off in classifieds. GV claimed these are all new, worked with the manufacturer, etc. - supposedly other people getting clears might not be up to their tech level. Are you sure about this? The wicks are definitely different but maybe not bridge. Just wanted to make sure, but they are going anyhow now that I can actually screw in my IKV 306's anyhow. So glad to finally have something that works good.

Actually, it was 5 1/2 days and it was still a green light and I was saying to myself, no way, and I decided to put it on usb to charge and it was red then... 5-6 hours later... fully charged! Thing was... as I was vaping I couldn't see the light on the side it would turn yellow as I was drawing but when I released and looked down it went to green fast...

I'm not 100% sure, it's just what I had heard, I am in on a Co Op and we are supposed to be getting the first batch of the newest ones, they are to have "thicker" wicks and the way they are tied around the bridge is supposed to be different as well, I can only say for sure once I get them, but I did hear the first batch of these clearmizers where put together the same as the CE2R4 version 2's so time will tell, should have mine next week sometime hopefully

I am not a fan of these either. Ordered the 2.6-2.8 1st one out metered 3.0, 2nd one wouldn't vape right, had to take the top part off and reseat if you lay it on the side it leaks. No matter I hate the vape, tasteless and way too cool. I will wait until I get my Eclipse and try them again. I should have known better since my go to attys are LR 1.5

Sorry there's a back order on the syringe mod... I cant get sourced on the silicon plug I use for the 6ml syringe... Everyone that ordered one with their Evercool will get them but I'll send them later (free shipping)... or you can have a refund, your choice.

I can't understand it... I thought China would sell ANYTHING for a price!!

I hope everyone that ordered one enjoys them as much as I enjoy mine!

I'm also going to do a limited run on a Version 3... with a thumbwheel voltage adjuster...
And then I'm having a custom box made to make my own custom Tekk style rechargeable Variable Voltage PV That will be at a lower cost. Put THAT in your Vape and Vape it!!
