Starting about 6 hours ago, my french vanilla which I have been vaping the last week and a half, started tasting like absolutely nothing... Just air, and occasionally a water taste... So I tried mixing my french vanilla with banana, and it taste like... things I can't say on this forum... I've also noticed a almost constant metal scent... I've only been vaping almost consistantly for the the last 3 days, only smoking 7 cigarettes in that time, if that is of any importance. Peanut butter however, still taste perfectly yummy...

Yes, as the last poster stated, you must change flavors often or you will lose taste for the single flavor that you have been vaping. Your tastebuds will take awhile to recover from the cigs and you will find that flavors you love now, you will not like as much later.

I try to switch between creamy, sweet flavors and fruit and I rarely if ever lose taste on any flavor.

Hang in there and good luck to you.

Well that blows. I only have those 2 flavors and one is way too strong to vape without mixing (36mg) and the water here is absolutely terrible... drinking one glass results in making audible sloshing noises to the point those around me can hear it xD Guess I will be getting some alleged purified water later today lol

I know taste will diminish for certain things over time, but after only 3 days, and still having the occasional cigarette, I didn't think it would happen so quickly.

hang in there.....I know its hard. I have been through this and swollen throat and all the bad symptoms. water, water, water. I know it's said too much but there is a reason for it. I went two weeks after I first started and everything tasted great......then BAM! I tasted nothing for about two weeks. Smoking only delays this also what are you using? Cart or Clearomizer? Maybe its clogged or dead. I know its hard, but give it time and you will be amazed at how great not only ejuice tastes but I have a new fond love for some of my fav beers just because my tastebuds pick up so much more complex flavors now.

My 2 1/2 cents: Ive been buying my dripping liq from Litecigusa and Rocky Mt Flavors. Im especially hooked on both of their Apple flavors. Ive been on the holy grail trail for the perfect Apple and I found it finally at each of their sites. I cant decide which I like best so I buy from both. Also Litecig has a nice Dunhill, and Flue cure, both remind me of pipe tob. Rocky Mt has a pretty decent Grape flavor. But Im mostly hooked on their Apples, I go 16 -18mgs.

As everyone said keep drinking water, sometimes my flavor buds are not up to par and I taste nothing or something very bad. I rinse out my mouth sometimes, this helps me. I wait a while after brushing my teeth to vape, nothing tastes worse to me than vaping over toothpaste. LOL.

Hope everything smoothes out, keep us posted. Cheers.

Drink plenty of water. Put 1/2 tsp of Frank's hot sauce in your mouth. Your taste will come back right away. That's a trick my brother gave me when I started vaping and it works like a charm

Yes this is absolutely true. And I will tell you why. Where as normal flavors sweet, bitter, sour, salty have specific taste buds that they are assigned and no other buds will work, capsasin can go through or "unlock" ANY taste bud. I don't know why I hadn't thought of it before your post. It would give your taste buds a reboot so to say. It is also the reason why a lot of smokers LOVE spicy food. they can taste it ;) However regardless of if you did, do or do not like spicy food; all taste buds work the same. So anything with a good level of capsasin will do. The vinager might help to carry the capsasin. And that should work.

I am going to parrot everyone else in saying "it does pass and you must drink TONS of water" I think drinking water helps flush your body of the toxins left by cigs too.

I also agree with trying cinnamon. But not just from any vendor. I have tried other cinnamon vapes and Juicy vapors is the best. Fire-n-ice dont be turned off by the menthol if you dont like menthol. I hate menthol in almost everything. But fire-n-ice is my new fave pluss I had them add more ice (menthol). The only reason not to try a cinnamon is if you are sensitive or allergic. A sensitivity could cause a raw mouth feeling even mouth ulcers. People who are not sensi have 0 recantations. just get a 3ml to be safe and if you like it and are not effected you will know right away... then if you like it order a big bottle because they are kinda backed up. Trust me you will be mad if you run out. I am kicking myself for not ordering a HUGE bottle to begin with. If I didn't like it I knew someone who loved it. I could have passed it along... BTW I will buy or trade your fire-n-ice if you get it and do not like it.

I know it can be hard. I had the same problem and it only took a few days to get thru it. Now our water here is NASTY so cranberry juice was a much better fix for me. Hope it helps

for me, I have found that when I try to stick to a single flavor my taste of that flavor dulls to the point, if I continue, I don't taste it just like I was with stinkies, even stong flavors. For me, I switch flavors after 4 or 5 drags... maybe that is just me, but speaking to another vaper, he was fine with not tasting his strong tobacco flavored juice... He had vaped that one flavor for months and was happy with the nicotine fix! not me, I'm enjoying the diversity! When my taste is dulled for a flavor, then everything else is skewed as well... my 2 cents.
