Everything Tastes the Same

Hey all,
I've had an eGo-T for a couple of weeks now and all the flavors I got tasted the same. I tried a new brand and so far these flavors taste the same too, like sweet smoke. Could this be the atomizer? I've barely used it coming off of regular cigarettes and didn't know if perhaps it already needed to be cleaned. Any advice would be great.

mmmh it always happen when you begin to vape, after a couple of weeks the flavors are kinda muted...i followed a friend suggestion and it worked..i vaped only neutral juice (the base) for a week and when i started again with flavors i could taste them much better than before. Of course it helps to use different atomizers for each flavor.

You may still have distorted taste from smoking and that could be one cause of it. The 'T' atomizers may need cleaning as well depending on how much they have been used and with what flavors. Thicker liquids will also be a bit finicky with the atomizer as it may not wick well.

I agree with above. If you're just coming off of analogs (cigs) then your taste bud aren't up to snuff yet. I'd suggest some flavors like Wintergreen menthol (or anything that has some menthol in it) or cinnamon for now, until you get your taste buds back. It'll happen....just keep vapin.

Get a different atty or carto for comparison. You should taste differences, even if still smoking.

It's prolly not working well. Getting lots of vapor? Is it "burnt juice" tasting? (And maybe you don't know that because you don't know what it should be like since it's new).

Try adding a drop of water to a small sample bottle of juice to thin it out. Then try it. Also search for cleaning atomizer or see info pages.

Hi and welcome.Are you drinking enough water? The menthol is good idea sometimes a peppermint flavor or a fruit flavor will help your tastebuds.Good luck

Water was the key for me.... The taste for flyvour came back to me..
Now i drink nearly a gallon a day!!!

I will have to try drinking more water! I have the same issue! Clove and Menthol taste the same, how is that possible?

Are you cleaning your atomizer before trying new flavors?

Most people new to vaping don't have their sense of taste back yet. Tanks also have a tendency to mute flavors somewhat.

ive got an ego-t also, fresh off analogs.. get some different flavors and switch it up maybe? im almost bored with menthol, and its only been 2 days lol.

The ego-t atomizers sometimes retain the stronger flavors for a very long time. I had 1 of my t atomizers strictly for menthol flavors because of that. I like the ego tank system for me it works, I just bought the ego-c upgrade cones and attys much better flavor for me.

This happens. Even over a 24-hour period I go from no flavor to WOW!

It seems like if I back off a bit the flavor/taste returns. /boggle.

Hi Andrew, Do you have a backup atty? If so you could take apart the atty and clean it BUT, I will warn you that most of my "t" atties dies during cleaning. Not the first cleaning like the tenth. I was cleaning them every couple of days. This is the method I have used in the past. How I clean my eGo-t atty... or... Sunday morning at Vicky's kitchen sink - YouTube It works but you must know that the "t" atties are finicky to get right once the wick leaves the needle seat. Watch the vid and decide for yourself. Also I have seen where people have ued a flat blade screwdrive to remove the needle seat and I have tried it it does work better than the way the video host does it. I could clean an atty in about ten minutes or less when I was practiced. Good Luck. Happy Vaping.
