I was puffing away on my eVic today when suddenly it just stopped working. When I plug it in, it charges. When I connect to the MVR software, everything works fine. When I press the button, no vape. When I press it fast five times, nothing happens.

I've switched atty's, pulled the battery, reflashed the firmware, and even told it I thought it looked particularly nice today, but it's still doing it. Fortunately, it's really just a backup PV so I'm not in any kind of bind here, but it's puzzling.

Anyone run into this before?

:( Same exact issue with mine. Got it wholesale, hoping my friend who I got it from will do something about it. This is my second one, first one's screen went blank but at least it still vaped...this one same exact symptoms as yours. I'm done with the eVic, if I do get this one replaced I'll just sell it and buy something else. My eGo twist works better than this crap anyways.

Remember that there is a recall on a few batches of the control heads. Probably worth checking it out.

I also have found that the device will shut itself off at the beginning of a draw if the battery gauge shows around 37% or lower with a smaller battery than the original purple one it comes with. It is more pronounced after the 1.2 firmware install with custom battery setting. I have a feeling that even though you now can customize the mAh rating of other batteries, JT still needs to tweak the level calculation a bit.
