evod 510 650mah battery issue

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and the issue that brings me here is that my battery will charge (light went from red to green), but the lock will not unlock no matter how many times I press it, and yes I do the 5-6 times rapidly. I was wondering if there would be a way to fix this or will I have to purchase a new battery. I'm open to trying to take this apart even though I hear these batteries are complicated.

how old is it? is it still under warranty? have you tried engaging the short circuit protection?

I have one that is a bit finicky about locking and unlocking. Try clicking as fast as you can, be sure to press the center of the button all the way and keep clicking more than 6 times.

Thanks for replying guys, so even after trying SueGeo's tips its not working and as to happydave's questions, its about a week and a half old, but the whole-seller I bought off of from ebay only accepts returns within two weeks if it hasn't been used or if its dead on arrival.
