Evod Air Holes?

Hello,

Just wondering, can i drill a bit bigger of an air hole on an Evod? Would that give me more vapor production? Or will it just ruin it? Thanks for your help

I think it will give you more airflow. I don't know about vapor production. try it and let us know how it goes.

I am by no means an expert, but larger holes, I think, might reduce, not improve, vapor production.... actually... vapor density. The amount of vapor produced is mostly a function of the coil, the device power, and the juice used. If you have a lighter pull, you'll just be drawing in more air to mix with the vapor.... so it might seem like LESS...

What kind of juice are you using? The more VG in the juice, the more vapor that tends to be produced. Try using a juice with a lower PG/VG ratio.

The eVods are a fairly airy draw as is... boring out the vent holes might just mess things up a bit.

UPDATE: Drilled a larger air hole in one of my EVODs and Im getting so much more vapor! Even on my 80/30 mix, the clouds are massive! I hope that this wont leak though lol, but if it does, I have two extra that I havent modded.

I did the same with my Evod, I rebuilt it with 32 gauge Kanthal, and 2mm Silica Wick....Its at 1.4 ohm, then I drilled out the 4 holes just a bit. Vapes like a dream..using it on a smoktech E-pipe mech mod works great!!!

It was too airy right off the bat. I saw there were 3 holes and when I covered one with my finger, the draw was just right. Before I got one, I heard the draw was airy compared to the Vivi Nova. I'm probably off topic here. Ignore me.

One of the 5 I have is very tight compared to the rest. It doesn't hit anywhere near as good. I'm curious if the air holes just aren't as open. I can loosen the EVOD from the battery a little to make it more airy.

yup drilling out the airholes, also coupled with a higher wattage, will give more vapor. up until a certain point, then the through-core hole hits its limit.

i want to do the same, but how big do i drill it out? do i use a 1/16 drill bit, 1/8 drill bit or something else?

did you drill out the base or the tube that comes off on the atomizer head?

Just drilled out mine allot more airflow tastes better to so that is a good thing i do get more throat hit though

I have some nice airy evods and then some that are a bit too tight of a draw. Seems to be some inconsistency between them at least. Is it the airholes or could it be the coil/wick? What drill did you use? I'm wondering if just poking a pin through might make all my evods perform the same.

With the standard sized air holes i notice some are filled with cotton dust And whatever else is in my pocket you can clean them with a needle usually Works for me
