Hello...

Doing some coils I think I damage my Evod Battery.

Right now without tank, if I push the button the light keeps steady, as soon as I put any thank (with stock coils) if I press the button the light flashes 5 times

I have been looking of what does 5 blinks means and I can not find anything.

(I can use those tanks in any other battery without any problem)

Sounds like your coil ohms are too low for the evod and the battery is shutting itself to prevent damage from overheating.

"Since it turns on/off without anything on top, try a different topper. Sounds like it may be seeing a short.

Also, don't over tighten your topper. Snug is fine, you just need to make a connection. It's possible to create a short by over tightening the topper, as is can crush the insulator down."

Do a search for evod flashing here on the board

Already did, and it the same with all the toppers. That's why I'm guessing is the battery

Already check this, actually as soon as it touches the center pin I get the 5 blinks

Do a search for evod flashing here on the board

Will do it for sure

You could also have a short in your coil. I realize you didn't make the coil but it is definitely a issue with the build.either it is too low OR it is preventing it from firing due to a short. Try a different coil, check your atomizer over carefully, and see what the results of that is. If it's still flashing with a new coil, and your atomizer does not have any issues it could be the battery is dieing or has a issue.

Al ready try with three different tanks/coils and same result with all of them, if it is a short I would say it is on the battery itself, BUT, only happens as soon as there is a tank present... Weird

Your battery might not be charging, if the charger's blinking green and red. The 5 flashes on the battery often means that it needs a charge. Check the charger where you screw the battery in and make sure that it isn't all gunked up with black stuff. If it is, unplug it and clean it with a Q-tip or tissue dipped in rubbing alcohol. Dry it well before you plug it back in.

The low-ohm coils could definitely be the problem, though.

I also have an Ego battery and it has 3,6Vols. With 1,3Ω the current is about 10Amps.

It's the safety lock because it's limited, I think, to 8A. You probably can't go under 1,5Ω.

You did something wrong here, a fully charged battery at 4.2 volts with a resistance of 1.3Ω doesn't come anywhere close to 10 amps. It pushes just over 3.2 amps. However you're on the right track, evods can only handle down to a resistance of somewhere between 1-1.5Ω. So, to OP, that may be your problem, the resistance is too low for the battery to be able to fire.

Do you have a higher resistance coil you can try as process of elemination? Has the coils you have currently EVER worked on your unit? Try a higher resistance coil and see if your device begins to behave normally again. If it does, you have the answer. Too low of resistance. I do find that strange because it's not really that low, however it could be your devicessay limit. Usually the limit on the egos, spinners, and mvp2 s , that I have is 1.0. But every battery is different. If you can get a higher resistance coil you can see if this solves your issues. If on a higher resistance coil it's still be having the same way then the problem is the battery it's self. But slip in a higher resistance and see if your issue is still present.

It sounds to me like your battery is bad. If it's flashing with different atomizers attached to it, then the problem is in the battery itself. If you haven't done so already, you could try cleaning out the connector the best you can and throw it on the charger for a while just to make sure your battery isn't dead. Aside from that I'm not sure that there's a whole lot you can do.

How high is high? I think I only have up to 2 ohms

I´m using the charged without any issue in other battery :S

[emoji15] Yes I did. Thanks.

I meant watts. I believe they do not work above 8W.

OK, so try the 2 ohm coil, like realsis suggested, check the connectors on both the charger and battery for goop and make sure it's fully charged, but also look to make sure the battery stem isn't pushed in, so it isn't making contact with the charger, or good contact with the tank. If you've done all of those things, and it still isn't working, then yes. Your battery is bad and you need a new one.
