EVOD doesn't vape after cleaning?

So I just cleaned my new evod for the first time in order to try some new juice and now I'm getting little to no vapor out of it. I took the head out (did not take it apart), soaked the head & the tank in some vodka overnight, then took them out & dried them in the hot sun all day. It seemed completely dry, but upon filling it up again I'm not getting hardly any vapor out of it. The taste is there & it doesn't taste burnt or anything, but it's just not producing.

How badly did I screw up? I don't have any replacement heads to try with it; they're still on the way to me in the mail. Any ideas? :(

If somehow you "broke the coil" I would think it would literally do NOTHING.
If it's vaporizing SOME juice, but just not delivering the vapor you're used to, it seems more likely that a pocket of water survived the drying, and will "work it's way out".
Do you have a PV that can test the ohms of the coil head? That would tell you if it was totalled somehow during cleaning - it would read 0.0 ohms or maybe (like MINE did 5 minutes ago!) read "non" - which apparently is chinese for "somethings wrong with your coil, dude".

But water REALLY messes up the vaping... You might want to take a couple HARD DRAWS - to "pull" water out of the wick, onto the coil, and "burn it off"...that worked for me when a clearo was damp...it took a few more puffs and then got back to normal.

Airflow feels good. In fact, it doesn't feel like it's hitting all that different...there's just no vapor. Instead of taking the wick out, could I just let it sit for a bit to soak the juice up?

Actually I may end up cleaning it again, as the new juice I tried was not for me...way too perfume-y. If I screw up again I'm guessing that a new head would fix it, in any case?

Yes, it's heating. I'm drawing on it super-hard and it seems to be doing a lil' better. Maybe it just needs some priming?

That was my next suggestion. Pull the stem off. Be careful not to lose the silicon cap. You will be seeing the wick without pulling it out drops till it looks soaked but not overflowing.

If it looked like it was overflowing, do the opposite. Damp it with a paper towel since it may be flooded.

No need to do the vodka soak between each flavor. I rinse my heads under hot running tap water at each fill. Blow through the air tube end, then through the battery connector end. Use paper towel and squeeze water from flavor wicks, fill and vape. The first few draws will be light on vapor but it does not take long to vape like new.

I do boil then soak in PGA about once a month. My heads are lasting forever using this method.

Good luck!

Did you JUST get the juices?
You should poke around some threads on "steeping" - but, bottom line is that a LOT of juice simply doesn't taste good for a week or two after you get it. You want to give em all a good shake, set them aside, and try them again in a week or more. How long varies depending on who you ask, and even on what flavor - but I've had some flavors that were HORRIBLE when I got them (perfume & chemical smell and taste) turn into tasty after about 2 weeks. Of course I've had other flavors just stay bad, LOL.

So it's all good...evod working fine again. Very disappointed in basically ALL the new sample juices I ordered from various places (which is why I was cleaning it in the first place), but that's another topic. Thanks for all the help, guys!

So this condition first appeared on the new juice? Are the two different juices the same pg/vg mix? The difference in vapor between a very high PG mix and a very high VG mix is pretty significant.

Your PV sounds like an Innokin product. My SVD also says "non" for infinite ohms, and I think the iTaste vv/vw does the same. It means non-attached, zero ohms is a short circuit. I guess "non" is the best they could do on a 7-segment display... (Maybe it means non-functioning.)
