Either the flavor wick is a bit too thick or you juice is thick ( hi viscosity kinda like maple syrup)
If your juice is flowable ( more like jello as soon as it is mixed) then you should consider opening up the coil and removing a portion of the flavor wick, this reduces the compression on the wick allowing more juice to flow. If your juice is more like maple syrup, then add some distilled water to it ( in the tank not the bottle that way if you over do it you havent trashed a whole bottle)

Also the EVOD coils are almost identical to the kanger coils (the chimney is about the only thing different [shorter and thinner I believe]) you can replace the silica flavor wicks with cotton and it will wick and taste MUCH better than the stock factory wicks!

You can either do what he did by taking out one of the strands, then replace, or you can roll up a piece of cotton, lay it across, put on chimney then trim off excess with a pair of nail clippers...re-assemble tank and then wait a few seconds to let the wicks soak up the juice [I sometimes flick the tank to watch the air bubbles come up]..then Vape Yo Face Off!!! :D

Yes I saw that removing some of the wicking might help. I will take it apart and take alittle bit out. I have an assortment of kanger coils so I might just put a new one in and see if that helps. But when I first started using it I filled it up with a 50/50 blend and let it sit overnight so I guess I worded that wrong. It had been soaking for awhile and I would get a good vape then burnt after that. Then I would cover the bottom and the air holes and do some strong pulls to get the juice sucked in and it would taste good for 2 or 3 then more burnt taste.

Definitely sounds like it is not wicking correctly, and can't stay moist. I would try removing a part of the flavor wick and see if that helps. It is really a case of trial and error to determine how much to remove. Personally, I would start with one complete flavor wick, and if it starts leaking add about half of it back in ... like I said, trial and error ... As always ... YMMV!

I have too many random tips to list :p So I will pick the most random. Last time I had wicking problems with the EVOD I had left it sitting on the window sill when it was 30 degrees outside. Juice had become very ummm... 'non-flowy' hehe.

Seriously though, I suggest that when you try it again, take very short pulls like 1-2 second only. with good 10 second or longer gaps in between. If you are still getting burnt hits after doing this a few times, you need to replace (or at the very least remove and clean) your wick. Even the thickest juice wouldn't be too slow under those conditions, so youve eliminated that possibility, and that burnt flavor might have settled into the coil/wick assembly.

Also with the Evod, and really any other clearomizer, I find that filling it too full or too little makes the device very sensitive to positioning. Until you find a solution try to stay between 1/3 and 2/3 full, again to keep it from being finicky at the extreme ends on either side + or -.

dat my 2c... I have more cents if you need it..., lol

I'm not familiar with watts only voltage. If your coil is 2.4 ohms then try vaping it at about 4.2 or 4.3 volts. This is probably too low but it's a start, then go up from there.

I love Evods and haven't had a problem with dry hits. I do rinse the coils every couple of tanks with very hot water (I use a pair of needle nose plyers) to keep the wick as gunk free as possible and I also don't let the tank get any lower than 1/3 full. Try pulling the plastic cap on the center tube on your coil a little bit and then screw it in. Maybe it's choking the wicks.

Good luck and I hope you find a solution to the problem. I'm also trying the Smoketech ARO and it's very close to the Evod vape. I'm not totally sold on it, but giving it a good girlscout try LOL.

wow ok so I just removed one of the wicks and it is hitting like a freight train! No more dry hits at all and it is full flavor. Hopefully other people see this or have tried this as a solution cause this totally worked. Also when you guys talk about cleaning them I have only read up on it alittle bit. When cleaning my pro tank and evod do I take the coils off and put the tank and the coil into hot water or just the tanks?

I feel your pain. I have tried evod since it first launch and got constantly dry hits too, no matter how much I tried, remove flavor wick, rebuilt with silica, rebuilt with cotton, my juice is 70/30 pg/vg though so I just trashed it and move along :?:

same with me,,,I can't stand those things,,,,,,,

now I use an Iclear 30, with one of the flavor wicks removed,,,,,,,,,,,,,fabulous.
