Zeuz X mesh occasional dry hits

Hi there,

I am new to this forum, also very new to vaping.

I am using a Zeus X Mesh rebuildable. I have noticed every now and then I get dry hits. After getting a dry hit, I would open my tank to have a look at the wick, when firing and closing the tank again the dry hit is gone for a couple of "pulls''. what am I doing wrong?

The screen looks to be fairly course and may not be wicking properly. Have you tried a finer mesh?

The cotton must be tight under the mesh...
Also u must fluff and trim the ends of the cotton and not stuff them hard into the juice ports...
I used to get dry hits and couldn't go more than 60watts...
The wicking method that worked for me and I didn't expect it is when u cut the cotton ends in an angle....if u see Mike vapes video on YouTube and some others wick it like that....u actually want the mesh to get juice from underneath...
Since I cut it like that and ofc didn't stuffed the cotton much....I just make sure the ports are filled but with fluffy cotton...since then I can vape it up to 80watts without dry hit...
Not that I vape it that high it really makes no sence or difference but I just know my wicking was good...
I vape it at 60-70 watts depending if I use airflow 1/3 or half way open

In the pic seems your wick is a little tight on one side cause of the difference in colour....
No problem...rewick...u gonna get used to it and not have problems soon...

Welcome and glad you joined.
You could be doing lots of settings wrong. Could try Rayon which functions flawlessly for me.
