Hi frank....both started with the air problem. Only one of them has got the gurgling happening at the moment. I thought the air problem was just me but my husband is having the same problem.

From my limited experience with this kit, once the gurgling starts it wont stop until you blow out the head. Too much liquid gets stuck in the middle, maybe from sucking too hard? So once that starts you need take it apart and blow on the grooved tip of the atomizer to blow out the excess. Wipe it off first or it will burn your lips. If both of your units are having the same problem I would guess maybe what is happening is a combination of sucking too hard and a very thin e-liquid.

Something I was doing that was causing me similar problems:
Whenever I would refill the clearomizer with eliquid, the first few draws I took, there wasn't much but air. I compensated by sucking really hard, which flooded the atomizer, which causes more problems. What I did to stop it was just taking it very easy after refilling, give the wick in the atomizer some time to absorb the ejuice. Also, I found that everything worked much more smoothly when the clearomizer was closer to full. If you let it start to get empty you start getting problems.

It IS possible to get crappy "coils" - even 2 of them.
Sometimes, they're just duds, and sometimes they're like 2.5 ohms, which is a bit high (to me) for a fixed voltage battery. If you have a variable voltage battery, try turning it up a bit higher.

Finally -
Check that the coil IS finger-tight in the base.
While the thing is open, swipe the airtube with a Quetip or something to get any juice out.
If you're a brand new vaper - don't suck too hard!!

You shouldn't get gurgles if you have a good coil in an Evod, except sometimes when they get real low on juice...

I think pg thicker then vg. If I'm wrong hopefully someone will correct me.

PG is thinner than VG. Take the base off and blow (or shake) out the coil into a paper towel. You'll see some liquid squirt out. Try this when you're vaping, press the button then wait for a couple seconds before you start to take a hit. It takes a little bit for the coil to get hot and you may be sucking too much liquid in (especially if it's thin) before it can start to vaporize it. Take long slow (not hard) drags

The gurgling is kinda normal. It happens a lot when your tank is low or from high PG juice. I fix my wifes by adding a piece of flavor wick. The flavor wick are the ones on top you can remove by taking off the chimney part with the rubber piece. If there is no draw there might be juice on the battery contact. Just use a qtip to clean it out.
Also you should wait 5 minutes or so after filling to let the wick absorb the juice. You can speed it up buy taking a few LIGHT short "primer" draws.

It's the crappy stock coils...there is a very quick fix for both dry hits and gurgling/leaking kanger bottom coils (works for EVOD and protanks)

1. Remove the rubber cap and chimney (wiggle it loose)
2. Remove crappy silica flavor wicks (leave the wick INSIDE the coil alone)
3. Get a piece of cotton from either a bag of clean cotton (you can boil it to clean it) and/or a q-tip
4. Roll cotton into a very thin string and lay it across the coils
5. Put back on chimney and rubber cap trapping the cotton flavor wick under the chimney
6. Nip off the extra cotton wick with nail clippers
7. Re-assemble, wait a few seconds for the juice to soak into the new wick
8. Vape Yo Face Off!!!

Note: Make sure you have clean hands, the oil in your fingers can cause the cotton to taste funny on the first few drags

Stock wicks suck...for some reason either they don't wick good enough or wick too much, not enough causes dry burnt hits, too much causes leaking/gurgling, putting the cotton flavor wick in there gives just the right amount of flow and prevents leaking because cotton is better at the capillary action.

I was standoffish at first too...after I tried this with all my bottom coil kanger type clearos the vape and flavor increased like you wouldn't believe..the easiest method for the "beginners" to tweak, more advanced users put cotton INSIDE the coils but that is for later on...get your stock coils running right...then worry about more advanced techinques

Bottom coil clearo's like the Evod, PT2, Puritank etc have serious airflow issues on some mods. If you hit it like sucking a milkshake through a straw you will end up with gurgling issues and drinking juice... basically you will have a bad time. Long slow drags are the way to go with them and you can leave your mouth open a little on the side of the drip tip to prevent you from building up the negative pressure in the tank causing juice to flood the coil and slip past the seals.
You can also try adding a .5 wick like the above video shows. I use 1mm silica wick that I keep around for just this type of coil. Happy vaping!

First try flipping the cup seal on the chimney. This sometimes pushes the wicks down leaving a gap for pg to easily seep into. I also recommend a fluffy piece of cotton, it holds juice and will slow airflow a little. Whitfh the chimney on and seal out of way, make sure the wick channel is full but not choked off by the top. Always let a new head soak in 10 min so it's expanded before you start adding overwicks.

Not sure what you mean by getting air, do you mean no vapor? If you draw on it while the coil is not firing it will flood it. After putting it on the bat, Put it up to your ear and fire it before you use it, make sure you hear it sizzling.

You got some great answers, hope i can add to it. Take EVOD off the batery, THEY blow through mouthpiece holding a rag under the EVOD, and any excess liquid will come out. Remember, a vacuum is SUPPOSED to build up pretty quicly on top of fluid if all is sealed. That makes drawing more difficult. IF no vacuum, drawing is easier, maybe too easy. check for tight seals everywhere. As everyone already said CHANGE coil. 2.5 that it came with is FINE. I am using one as we SPEAK. And, it is producing clouds of vapor. On a 50/50 PG/PG mix of juice. Is the center post of your battery getting unduly weT? Sure sign of flooding, do NOT let it remain there, keep it dry as much as possible. A VV or VW mod can be harmed by leakage, even a eGO. IF NOTHING else works, PM me, and I will send you a EVOD, that I've had a while, and KNOW is working quite well, and compare the two, look for any differences in tightness of parts, missing seals, etc. Simply PM me name and address/phone number.

You can also hold the end to your ear and listen for the crackling popping sound of a *damp* coil vaporising the eliquid.

If the coil is Flooded, it will just give maybe a low burbleing sound; when I get that (and I mean for bottom coil clearos - I don't have an EVOD specifically), I turn the clearo upside down to drain the extra liquid away from the coil.

When you hear the popping sound try it then.
