Hello. I just bought an Evod Clearomizer and am using a low resistance atty head.

I am using this on a normal Ego battery. I notice the battery doesn't last long at all now.
Diminished vapor happens after about 20 minutes vapin'.

Is the battery too weak to handle these?

My battery lasts a long time with just the lr atty on ego battery alone and more vapor too.

Thanks for any help.

Hm... I bought some new lr attys and everytime i put them on my ego it sucks all my battery life almost instantly. I'll get like one hit then the second hit the light gives out after a second or two and eventually the whole battery dies.
The evod lasts a good while when i use it, but not as long as it should.
The lr attys work on a regular 510 battery (i know you're not supposed to do this but i have nothing else to test them on)

Is my ego battery going dead or what?
(i tried the thing where you pull up the middle circle thing in the battery up to make sure the connctions are working)

Sounds like the perfect time to purchase and lean to use a multimeter.

You see, you have no idea what ohm coils you really are using. What is advertized is not always the case once produced.

i.e. a 1.8ohm (LR) coil could be anywhere between 1.6 and 2.0ohms under normal production variances. an improperly assembled coil could DEAD SHORT resulting in damage to the device.

It does however sound as though the battery is giving up. Decreasing useable time on the same atomizer(ohms) is a definite sign.

my genuine joyetech batts of equal size last upwards of 5 times longer at nominal voltage than my generic blister pack clone batteries. Then again it could just be a dying battery in your case as well.

just remember the higher the current draw the less efficient it usually is in general... especially when talking about a regular ego batt.

wait - what? um... we seem to be missing some information here.

How about if you put whichever device last worked on the battery back on? does the battery STILL have a shortened life? if so, then the battery is wearing out - if not, test the resistance of what works and the resistance of the EVOD... then rebuild the EVOD to match... test it and see if it works.

Jive!...............welcome back friend! I've been using the evods on my egos, no problem other than the heat the evods create. I tend to use 2 and rotate........

I'm so glad you're back

heyyy v :)

lol and yeaa somethin's fishy about these atomizers. i've realized the reason my battery died before was because i had tried out one of the attys on this battery earlier before i knew it would mess it up. the evod is working great now so long as that's all i use and my ego batteries are lasting just fine except when i put one of these attys on it.

does anyone know what the 1.5 "b", stands for, as opposed to "a" or something.

i'm thinking i got a bad batch of attys.
I will have to get a multimeter like crxess suggested to find out, but after all the money i spent this week i'm thinkin' i'll just cut my losses hahah

Full life if i only use the Evod, they die when i use the seperate LR attys i bought.

I realized i had trouble with the batteries dying early only after I had used one of these other attys on it i had boughten.
And I also pulled up the middle core of the battery connectors up a bit with tweezers so that could have been it too.
So i think I've widdled it down to it being the attys that are the problem :)

Thanks everyone :)
