Check all the little rubber seals. It must be getting extra air in somehow or the wicks aren't working properly. I have a half dozen evods and almost never have a problem. The rare but occasional spit happens with thin juice but what tank doesn't do that? If you have some replacement heads try switching one out.

NO other heads. I have an iclear30, couple ce4, and a vivi nova. still basically a newbie so im not sure about check the wicks or anything. and i made sure I didnt overfill at all either incase someone suggests that. Ive tried just filling half way and it still happens

Maybe you need to add some wick. I made the mistake of removing some and not thinking it was a big deal. Left it alone for a bit and started using it and bam, puddle on the post and gurgles. I sacrificed a ce4 for some wick. :)

I'd clean it and let it dry, then inspect the wick.

How do you go about adding wick to it?

This is what the wick looks like. just cleaned it so its still wet

This happens when you coils aren't getting hot enough. Is that your only battery? Tt isn't a seal issue it's a power problem FO SHO. So either you have too high ohm for the voltage in your battery to get it hot enough or your batteries are getting low in power.

I have a twist and a spinner. Both do the same thing. The higher the voltage, the more gurgling and spitting into the drip tip. with lower, I couldnt even get any taste or vapor to it

It is most likely a flooding problem then with the coil try changing that out, I think someone mentioned adding a new wick to it but unless you have some sitting around I think you can use some cotton for that. You are probably better off just getting a new coil. The Evod itself is not the problem. You get this same problem with a dripper if you fill them too much or have a low battery and since you say your batteries aren't suspect then that has to be the issue.

Sounds like your larger seal on the coil is not sealing off the tank from the battery properly. I've had a couple of evods come in and found the coil loose from the ego threaded base, which will result in leaking, gurgling, etc... Once you put the coil back on the base, check the seal between the two visually to see if they are meshed tight with no gap. Other than that, I would go back to the store and have them either put in a new coil or have them give me one to try and determine if thats the problem (defect). From my experience with evods, a 1.8 ohm to a 2.0 ohm coil works best with the spinners or twist between 3.7V and 3.9V in my opinion.

Hey man, my experiences with my evod is good, however i DO get these rubbish heads and they will spit in my mouth alot and usually when i get 1/3 down the tank it spits a little more and gurgles a bit so i just top it up, its the same with my ProTank some heads wont screw all the way down the base that goes onto the ProTank and then it only makes a connection to some of my ego batteries some wont even connect without the plinth. if its gurgling i don't know if you rebuild or anything but they come stock with a piece of wick resting ontop of the coil to reduce to much going in a suppose ?
I did take this out on a pre-made coil i ordered and it made mine gurgle like hell, if you have wick you could replace the top resting wick with a nice new fluffy one maybe ?

I was just thinking the same thing! I have EVODs from the same store and have had no problems. Are you filling it too full? The liquid should be a little below the center tube - if you get any drops on the mouth of that tube, use cotton swab to wipe it off. After putting it back together, try blowing thru it into a tissue to remove any excess juice, then clean off the bottom before reattaching it to the battery.

There is a plastic cap that sits on the stem from??? Where is it?
You are probably facing this issue because of this...

I only noticed the plastic cap missing because I consider myself an Evod pro. You wont believe how many I have and how good I have become at cleaning and making them work like new. And of course, I have lost a few of those plastic caps in the washing out process, and that why I noticed it so quickly...
