Need some advice. Both of these problems are with my wifes tanks
1st problem(evod)- She has had 3 evods start leaking around the clear windows on the side of the tank.
after cleaning and inspecting it looks like there is some glue or something where the tank meets the mouthpiece. She is not using any tank cracking juices by the way.

How long do evod tanks typically last?

2nd problem(mini pt2)
Im going to try and explain this the best i can.
I saw the other day where the center post meets the top cap. it looks like red glue is starting to flake out. I noticed "red looking" flakes floating in her tank. the post seems to be still holding tightly.
The mini pt2 is only a couple months old.

thanks

The only way you are getting leaks around the windows is if the plastic is cracked. I would replace the evods and try to make sure they are genuine kanger.

On the protank, that is probably red loctite on a threaded connection, but I am not entirely sure about this. I don't own one and am basing the info off a quick Google search.

Good luck!

I have Evods and Mini ProTank 2's and Evod sounds like a crack which some juices can cause, but it usually turns the plastic a white color as well.

The ProTank 2 Mini has no glue used in them at all. I can not imagine anything which would cause red flakes in or around the tank. Are you sure you purchased Kanger Evods and Kanger Mini ProTank2? The Kanger Mini should have came in a box pictured below.

yeah im positive they are originals. Im guessing in the protank it is just the red loctite.

on the evods the juice cracking the tank was my first thought but after cleaning them they look brand new. plastic tank is clear and there are no cracks.

I've had both the V1 and V2 versions of the Mini Pro Tank 2. There is NO glue or Locktight on them. Drain the juice, and disassemble the unit. There is the Drip tip / top cap assembly. This is a single piece on the V1s, and 2 pieces on the V2s. The center post is part of this. Then, you have the glass tube. Just the glass, no other items attached to it. Finally, there is the bottom cap, coil, and bottom base. There are 2 silicone O-rings, one at each end of the glass tube, inside of grooves in the end caps. You might have some dried out juice or other material stuck in them.

Take the whole thing apart, and run the pieces (4 (v1) or 5 (v2) of them - everything but the coil)under some hot water for a few minutes. Dry each part off using tissue or TP. Then, reassemble and fill.

Finally, let us know where these mystery flakes are coming from.
