The EVOD Vape Pen is a great try to use electronic vaporizers for the first time. Unlike other vape pens on the market, the Kangertech EVOD doesn't use any settings that must be adjusted or understood. This is perfect for new users as they need no prior knowledge of skill in order to operate the EVOD vape pen.

Wow. That’s a blast from the past. Not wrong either. These things owned the vape market for a long time, and their technology is identical to a lot of smaller pods. Even better they’ve got non proprietary 510 connectors and they’re old enough to be widely available and cheap.

There are a few issues:

1. the batteries communicate with the user through a single blinking light using various flash codes. If you’re having an issue you need to know what the code is. This has generally not really been improved on by pods.

2. The manufacturer of the battery and the charger matter. While the connector is a non proprietary standard (giant win) the internals of the batteries and chargers are NOT. You need to have a charger compatible with that particular model of battery. Just because it fits doesn’t mean it will work right.

3. This one may have been fixed in modern models (hint: if it hasn’t been done, DO IT!) but the old auto batteries were horrifically unreliable. So unreliable that auto batteries were largely abandoned as a concept. This IMHO is the single point of success in modern pods some of them (but not all) figured out how to make reliable auto vacuum switches.

The secret to a reliable vacuum switch is pretty simple: the entire chamber the switch sits in IS the switch. Not just the electronic bit, and while the electronic bit is waterproof if you get gunk in the chamber (including small amounts of juice) the whole thing fails.

The eroll had the first reliable electronic switch. That solution was to run a tube down the center of the battery and get the switch as far away from the atomizer as possible.

Heh. I have nothing professional to do with vaping. I’m just a user. That was an honest answer. I smoked one of those for years before big mods came along. I once recycled a Cheque box full of old worn out EGO batteries
