Kanger's EVOD and Mini T3S are both 1.7ml, Ego-threaded bottom-coil clearomizers with replaceable heads. Let's compare them.
They are roughly the same size but quite different in appearance. The EVOD offers two narrow, unmarked windows for monitoring liquid level while the Mini T3S is mostly clear with graduations printed on the body. The Mini's base is knurled to give you a better grip while the EVOD's is smooth.
The Mini T3S is very easy to fill and the dual scales (normal and inverted) are a really nice touch, useful to prevent over-filling. In this regard, it has a definite advantage over the EVOD.
The replaceable heads might seem identical at a glance, but they're not.
Slide the gaskets out of the way and the difference becomes more apparent. The T3S head is just a hair taller than the EVOD's. If you install an EVOD head into the Mini T3S, it won't seal properly. (Fortunately, I had the presence of mind to try this without putting liquid in the tank).
Just for fun, I loaded an EVOD, a Mini T3S and a Phoenix rba with the same liquid (Goodejuice Vita Bella) and tried them on an EVOD battery and a VV pass-through. This is not a scientific comparison, though, since the EVOD has a 2.5 ohm (nominal) coil and the other two are around 2.2 ohms.
That being said...
The Mini T3S has tighter, warmer draw than the EVOD and an edge in flavor and vapor production. Except for the draw, these could be partly due to the slightly lower coil resistance. Partly. We're only talking three-tenths of an ohm.
The Mini T3S does not gurgle and leak so far, unlike the EVODs which gave me some trouble until I messed with their wicks.
The Mini T3S compared very well to the Phoenix dripper (the latter was just a little warmer and more flavorful) while the EVOD did not. Again, it's not a totally fair comparison since the EVOD is running a slightly higher-resistance coil which means a little less power.
I reserve the right to change my mind after I've lived with it for a while, but right now I'm liking the Mini T3S more than the EVOD.
