Hello all,

I started vaping only back in February 2015, I used to smoke pipes (only premium tobacco blends AKA-not drugstore crap) and cigars (not gas-station junk), I was NEVER addicted, as my current home situation didn't allow me to smoke inside, therefore; late Spring, Summer, and Fall were the only seasons I could enjoy my hobby. I often went the entire winter season without consuming one tobacco product.

I moved to vaping to satisfy the cravings I had for a good tobacco taste... Yet to find "the one" BUT I have discovered several cool cereal flavors, and other odd flavors that I'm enjoying equally to a bowl of my favorite tobacco. Within a month I have been building coils, and getting into the more advanced part of vaping. I still LOVE my tanks though ;)

I look forward to being a part of this revolution and getting to assist everyone I can.

At one time I smoked a pipe. My favorite tobacco was Borkum Riff's Bourbon pipe tobacco.

I believe I found an e-liquid flavor which reminds me of the above. Five Pawn's Castle Long. It's a Ky Bourbon with mild hints of coconut, vanilla bean, and almonds. It's one of my all time favorite e-liquid flavors.

Castle Long Reserve is an "upgrade" to the Castle Long, by being steeped in Oak barrels before being bottled.

Welcome liskrig, Same story for me also. Huge similarities between extracting the best flavors from vape gear and juice as with pipes and cigars. It made the change over a piece of cake for me.

Good luck!

Same here! Rebuilding the coils, setting the wick, cleaning the tanks out... all reminds me of taking care of my pipes, and humidor. Any suggestions for a good pipe tobacco vape? I have vapemail coming from Want2Vape today (hopefully) and I was impressed with the reviews.

Thank you!

I just placed an order today with Mountain Oak Vapors for one of their natural tobacco extracts called "Full Virginia Flakes". If that is anything like Samuel Gawith's FVF from across the pond I'll be in 7th heaven.

I tried some "tobacco" flavored vapes when I first got started and they were awful. Now I did not try any NET's or Natural Extracted Tobacco juice yet so maybe that is the way to go. There are some huge NET threads on this site somewhere so I know they are popular with many. Mountain Oak Vapors has a few different NETs so maybe give them a look.

Try out MyVapeJuice... awesome assortment of natural pipe and cigar flavors. One of my go to sites!

That is GREAT to know! I gave it a look, and I was VERY impressed with the selection... Dunhill Nightcap, Ashton Artisan... they have almost ALL of my favorites! Looks like I'll be spending some serious coin there this weekend. Thanks again!!!

I never made it past the novice stage of pipe smoking. When I met my husband, he ran a premium tobacco store that sells fine cigars and pipe tobacco. The pipe tobacco was mixed in house. I used to love seeing him after he got off work on mixing day. He smelled so darn good.

Anyway, I did a little pipe smoking back then. Just every now and then for fun and enjoyment. I never made it a habit because there's really no hit to smoking a pipe. I was an avid cigarette smoker.

When I first started vaping I tried so many different liquids. One in particular reminded me of a pipe tobacco I used to really love. It's from Halo and the flavor is "Captain Jack". Very rich and tasted just like the Black and Blue pipe tobacco I used to enjoy. You may enjoy it, too.

Welcome to ECF!

I used to enjoy the occasional cigar with my ex-partner and, more recently, my younger brother, but a combination of expense, time commitment, and family disapproval (lol) means that's probably a thing of the past for me now as well.

I wish I could give good advice on tobacco flavours, but sadly that's just not my thing. Perhaps it's because I WAS addicted, and wanted to get as far away from "tobacco" anything...that and a lot of the "tobacco" flavour juices are actually terrible. I had tried a top-end one from China, a bestseller (there, anyway) and when my sister got in the car she said it smelled like "rotting fruit." Nice.

Still, though, the classy pipe-vaporisers are neat. Very neat. I hope you end up finding what you're looking for to scratch that itch! ;)

I have jars of pipe tobacco that might have lasted a year or two and the same for my humidors full of mostly premium cigars. Since I started vaping, my tobacco cellar and humidors full of cigars will last my lifetime and will probably be auctioned off when I am gone.

Though it may not seem like it when starting, vaping can be a money and lifesaver. Annual tobacco budget for the last year I smoked was almost ten grand. So far, the last twelve months of vaping has been right around two grand. Since I have found the mods and atomizers that that works best for me, the vape budget for the next year will be about a dollar a day.

My cigars and tobacco will only improve with age and I do plan on having a celebratory smoke for special occasions.
