From the online seller...

Hi K Williams... (oh, and welcome to ECF!)
I believe they were just giving a tip that you would see over and over again here in the forums. Most vapers just starting off usually are at a fairly high nicotine strength, say 18mg or 24mg.
When you get a device that can deliver higher power along with a atomizer capable of thick vapor, many of those higher strengths become too overpowering and the vaper needs to reduce their nicotine strength by half... me included!

Most agree that when getting into sub-ohm vaping or higher power mods, 6 mg seems to be the average.
I hope that helps... :)

I received the Aspire CF Mod & Atlantis. There was a note included with the order saying I should use 6mg of nicotine or lower with this setup. Why is that? I'd like to be able to use 12mg e-juices.

Because it runs at higher power than the typical clearos.

5 watts with 24mg will vape up the same amount of nicotine as 10 watts with 12mg.
