Prior to about six months ago I was using Apollo pre-filled tobacco cartomizers with their "Extreme" electronic cigarette. In all honesty the kit was great in that it did enable me to completely quit smoking (I was a 25+ per day smoker of Marlboro Red) but the pre-filled cartomizers which claimed to have "1.5 pack equivilant" was absolute B.S. I was going through 3 cartomizers a day at a cost of around $15.00. I knew there had to be an answer and that's when I stumbled across this forum.
I initially purchased an MVP2 which came with an iClear 30, I purchased 10x atomiser heads and 2x 236mls of "555" thinking it'd be the equivalent of what I was vaping with the Apollo Kit - big mistake on my part. The "555" originally tasted like burnt caramel and a crushed up cigar. I continued in desperation using the free 10ml bottle of "Coffee" e-juice which came with the kit. After a week of steeping the "555" certainly changed in flavour, it was much more tolerable but was still very, very thick. It was so thick that I was burning through an iClear 30 atomiser head every 3 days simply because it was clogged up with juice - no amount of washing or dry burning would enable me to reuse the atomiser head, it was literally stuffed full of junk and to this day my MPV2 has a stained dark ring around the connection pin.
I used a full 236ml bottle in about 2 months and went back onto their website to discover MBV had introduced a new tool on their website indicating the "E-Juice Shade Rating" which indicates the colour of the juice in addition to it's thickness. Using this tool I found that "USA Blend Tobacco" was a level one (lightest colour, thin juice) and the "555" I had been vaping was a level 5 (darkest, heavy juice). I therefore purchased a 236ml bottle of "USA Blend Tobacco" and finally found something that I genuinely enjoy vaping.
I had a few extra dollars remaining and decided to try a new tank, the Kanger Pro-Tank 3 had just been released and I thought I'd give it a go. The vapemail arrived exactly a week later (I live in Australia, fastest shipping I have found online via Fedex) containing the following juices:
All juices were purchased in 24mg Nicotine Strength, PG65% / VG35%.
Irish Creme:
This flavour is pretty much spot on with what I envisioned it'd be, a cocktail flavour perfect for after dinner or for "fine vaping" as I like to call it. I would vape this on the weekend after a night out as a night cap type e-juice. 9/10
Peach:
I don't recall ordering this flavour so it must have been a freebie, I don't particularly like the taste of peach and don't eat peaches but the flavour is true to form. A light juice with a very fruity flavour. 7/10
Coffee:
Out of the bottle this is terrible, it really needs steeping for approximately 2 weeks before the real flavour comes through and only then it tastes like instant coffee with no sugar. 5/10
Creme Coffee:
What "Coffee" should have been, great out of the bottle and tastes more like an Espresso Latte than a cheap instant coffee. 8/10
Hawk Sauce E-Juice (MBV Speciality):
This juice was on special due to a sports team match when I was ordering, I decided to try something new and the reviews on the website were all raving about it. This is a juice that's really difficult to describe and has to be tasted in order to truly describe what it's like. It's a powerful menthol taste with a unique after taste. Certainly wouldn't be a daily vape but absolutely worth trying. 9/10
USA Blend Tobacco E-Juice:
Finally, after trying to find an e-juice that actually tasted like a cigarette, straight out of the bottle (no steeping), this juice is clear in colour and tastes like a cigarette with a tiny hint of sweetener. This is the daily e-juice I've been looking for and I wish I'd found it before ordering over half a litre of "555". If you're looking for your first e-juice in order to quit smoking, I can't recommend this enough. 10/10
"555":
As mentioned this juice is extremely thick and dark in colour, it leaves behind a very pungent odour that many people find offensive. I purchased it because I was somehow under the impression it was manufactured by a tobacco company (I can't recall where I read that). In my opinion this juice really would only appeal to a cigar smoker, not a cigarette smoker. It is not tolerable out of the bottle and needs to be left to steep for approximately 2 weeks before any trace of tobacco can be found. It can't be used as a daily vape because of the velocity of the juice - it burns through atomiser heads in a matter of days. 2/10
Cheesecake:
This one took me by surprise, I didn't actually think someone could replicate a cheesecake so closely. This juice tastes exactly like a cheesecake straight out of the bottle but is incredibly sweet and leaves me with a sort of sick taste in the bottom of my stomach as if I were suppose to be swallowing something. Yes, it tastes exactly like a cheesecake but to be honest it just doesn't "work" as an e-juice, at least not for me anyway. This is definitely a dessert e-juice and not something you'd vape often. I'll keep it for friends in an effort to show them just how true to form an e-juice can be. I'm finding it hard to give this a rating out of 10 because it tastes exactly like the description but it leaves me personally feeling a little sick because of the sweetness. 8/10
Kanger Pro-Tank 3:
After only using an Innokin iClear 30 and an Innokin iClear 16 (for my vv.30) I was quite excited to try out this tank. I opened the box which was very well packaged and took out my first proper glass tank, I filled it with my favourite juice (USA Blend) and popped it on top of my itaste 2 - the result: Absolute bliss. This tank looks fantastic and comes with its own beauty ring that looks like it was designed exclusively for the MPV2.0, the OHM registers a 2.1 and I set the VW to 7.5. I really rate this tank and love the way it is filled from the bottom where the wicks are in comparison to the top filled iClear 30. The replacement atomiser heads are cheap and are sold in packets of 5. The tank itself comes with two. 10/10
