Yipee, Found a way to clean and freshen up my tank without emptying

One of the things i found annoying about vaping was that after a tank or so the juice starts to taste kinda stale and the wick gets all gunked up. Washing out and drying isn't always convenient AND I learned the hard way that pouring out any unused juice back into the bottle ain't always a good idea, but pouring it down the sink seems a terrible waste of what might be good juice,....

Well, I had some Lemon essence (80% Alcohol by volume) on the side that I had been DIY experimenting with and I syringed a 1/2 a ml direct into the Iclear 30 to check if it would freshen up the blueberry.

What happened was the Alcohol sat clear on top of the juice and started to de-gunk the wick, after a little bit of tipping my wick was all de-gunked and looking like new!

I tried vaping it, but it was all spluttery and gurgling and a little of that metalic?/plasticy? taste remained.

HOWEVER next morning EUREKA (Running around naked) New fresh juice, clean atty and new flavour!

That was last Saturday and i've refilled it several times since and cleaned it the same way and its still good to go!

Lemon essence contains antioxidants. Similar to the same little trick thats used in kitchens all over the globe. Sliced up apples tend to get brown and unsightly fast because of oxidation, to prevent that chefs spray a little lemon juice on the cuts. Added alcohol, geuss you've got yourself a life, inline cleaner there

That's fascinating, Neilboat, and an interesting source of untaxed, food grade alcohol. I'm going to try it. I do wonder how that citrus would work in polycarbonate.

Mmm, Hadn;t thought of that, thought it was all down to the ALCOHOL, in fact i was a little worried that the lemon would damage the coil.

Hi, Nermal, the Iclear is plastic and it seems to work with CE5/6? but not sure what kind of plastic they are! But I do have some issues with plastic attys and am slowly changing over to pyrex.

Wonder if dripping some of this in my a7oid will work? It's my first RBA and I've noticed that I get gunked up way faster than with BCCs or other tanks. If this keeps me from having to re-coil/wick every three days or so that will be pretty awesome...

Oops Just looked on the Bottle "Star Kay White" Lemon Extract alcohol=83% by volume
think it cost £3.50 for 2 fl oz (60ml)
I also got the orange and the Chocolate Mmmmm thats got me thinking
