I am so excited! Today my eGo Twist mega battery will arrive. I can't wait to charge that puppy and vape away.

Congratulations! It should come at least 80% charged. Just fast click five times to turn it on and enjoy. You can charge at any point with no problems. Which size did you get?

I assume it would be ok to use low resistance cartomizers with this battery correct?

How low? I don't go any lower than 1.7 ohm but that's just me. I'm afraid of being to hard on the switch no matter what the rating. The advantage of vv is you can use a higher ohm carto and turn the voltage up to get to your sweet spot. Low ohm cartos are mainly for low voltage batteries.

I have a LT so have had some experience with VV, but the button on my LT is a bit gimpy, and after checking out hubby's eGo Twist, I've ordered one for me that (according to the tracking) should be delivered tomorrow. I've had some doubts about dual coils....seems they run a battery's charge down faster, and sometimes they seem to burn through juice WAY too fast. I don't usually vape at a level more than around 4V and prefer around 3.6-3.8. Anyway...not having been very happy with tanks (too fussy and leaky and labor intensive for me) I prefer cartomizers, but like the ones that hold a fair amount of juice. 2ml. is good for me really...and 3ml Go-carts are good, but I don't like the idea of committing to something that is over 5ml. Anyway...I ordered a couple of these to go with my new Twist and am hoping I chose okay Black eGo Mega Dual Coil Short Cartomizer - 1.5 Ohm Anyone have any input/suggestions or attaboys or anything?

From what i have read I am not to sure about dual core addys. The LR visions I have are single core. I am using a LR right now on a stock 650ma eGo battery, it does seem to go thru the juice faster to me. I really like both the normal and LR visions so far.

You're in for a treat. It's a great battery. I'd love to see a shorter, fatter version from Joye at some point.

That said, you're probably going to end up like me and looking more into vv devices. I just ordered a vendor branded lavatube because the deal was too good to pass up, and also because I really do love having options. My thought is that I'll use the mod at home, and save my Twists for when I'm out and about.

Enjoy, and be sure to experiment with voltage settings. I don't even look at where I set my Twists, I fiddle around, take a puff or two, and pretty much know now exactly what I like. For people who miss the throat hit of a ciggy, these vv's are great because you can dial them up and get a lot of warm vapor, gives great TH and mouth feel.

Congrats Mike. Good choice on the VV. The Twist operates from 3.2V to 4.8V. LR is good for around 3.7- 4.2 volts. Above that and you prolly want SR. Try starting with a low voltage setting and work your way up until you find the right setting for your atomizer/cartomizer. You'll also find some juices vape much better at a certain voltage either high or low. Same deal with juices start at a certain voltage and move up until you hit your sweet spot. The 2.4 ohms is prolly best because it's middle of the road and can handle most settings.
Here is a chart to help:

Good Luck.

I got the 1000 as well. I use it more than my Vmax now. It'll handle 1.8s fine just don't turn it up until juice burns. You can get the same vape by turning it up a little with standard 2.4 and pull less amperage as a thought. Vivi Nova and Kanger T2 work well and you can get heads in multiple resistances for them. Hope it got there and you're vaping it by now. The mail never comes on time when you're waiting lol.

You got that right! I am at work just waiting for UPS to drive up it's killing me! I have my charger ready to give that battery a full charge. I feel like a 44 year old kid at Christmas time! lol
