I had a friend over this weekend who was still on analogs and just ordered her an eGo...maybe I can "borrow" one of the batts and give her one of my regular 510 batts..

ha, ha. You sound like me. I got a penstyle at first, got the EGO a couple weeks later and have now loaned my sis my first one to try. She loves vaping and is going to get an EGO on payday.

Cartos for now. I tried one of the attys and carts that came with it and it has a funny taste. Is it just because it's a new atty?

I really would love to have one and be able to stop smoking forever. What I do now is smoke moderately 3times a day only and it works, I am not craving anymore.

Many atomizers come with some residue from the machining process, often referred to here as "primer" fluid.
You can clean it, or you can just blow as much of it out as you can and vape through the rest.
