Hi folks,

I vaped in the past and have recently just taken it back up, so far I've been 9 days off the ciggies!

I've always vaped with starter kits but decided this time to do a little more research. I now have a store who are local to me who have been great. I've purchased an MVP 2 which should be here in the next couple of days, it also ships with an iclear 30.

After seeing the evod2 and being impressed I decided to buy one for the mvp2, it vaped great on my ego battery for 5 minutes and then started to leak, I then proceeded to blow it an entire bottle of juice. I've watched videos, read guides and tutorials and just can't seem to get it working. After 2 days of tinkering after work I've thrown it in the bin.

My problem is for the 5 minutes it worked it was amazing and I want another but don't want to waste my money (I don't mind top coil) its just that the evod 2 was better.

Should I buy a protank and risk it going the same way or stick with the iclear 30 with the mvp2?

What's everyone else's opinion on bottom coil tanks and whats your experiences with both? Which do you prefer?

hello krismaguire, welcome to ECF

so it is about as simple as can be…
I’ll guess it is NOT leaking out the side of the tank
and what you mean by LEAK is INTO the battery top
2 ways out of the tank
•THROUGH the coil or,
•AROUND the coil
check your o-rings and be sure the coil IS TIGHT !

but I bet your trouble is with the coil wick it self, more precisely
the flavor wicks shrinking up allowing fluid to bypass and get out...

got some cotton around the house ? get some, roll it up small
like kite string and lay it on top/inside the coil
to much clogs it up, not enuff allows flooding/gurgle

here’s a video demostrating what I mean

good luck, and be sure to let us know how it goes…

I hadn't even thought about packing the wicks slightly more. I'll probably use the iclear 30 with mvp2 and buy a pro tank next month. Think I've spent this month.

Now 10 days smoke free and breezing through it, really enjoying all the guides and reviews on this forum, have enjoyed reading and learning about all the different kind of vaping gear.

nice - 10 days !!

good luck with a i30
some people like it, most don't
I think it is just a poor design -JMO
suggest you read about the pt2 also...

keep trying with the EVOD 2

don't confuse the SINGLE COIL (bcc)
with the DUAL COIL (bdc)

:)

eta:
ya know, I have to come clean…
just as I was about to hit send I Realized you were speaking of
the EVOD “2” which is ‘bdc’…

I had it in my mind, you were having troubles with the single coil (bcc) EVOD
repairing a single coil is much different than the dual coil…
a list of bdc tanks

Hello there.
If you want an EVOD style clearo and stay with Kanger, maybe you should consider these:
EVOD Glass with the upgraded Kanger BDC coils.
Mini Protank 3, with the upgraded Kanger BDC coils.
For larger volume and the same upgraded coils - Aerotank V2.
Or the Aerotank Mini. Also with the upgraded Kanger BDC coils.

These should work great on a MVP2 11W device.

I can not comment on the iClear30, have no experience.
I've moved from Kanger, gave my tanks away, now I'm on Nautilus Minis and moving into RTA (rebuildable tank atomizer) territory and have a Kayfun in mail.

I ended up biting the bullet yesterday and buying an evod glass....its been perfect! Refilled twice, brilliant taste and great vapour production. At work at the moment while my misus waits for my delivery, coming up to 3pm and still no delivery! :(

I've actually used the iclear 30 before, just couldn't compare it to the evod as it hadn't lasted that long. I can safely say now that the evods are the better tanks.

I sorta fell into the EVOD glass tank

of course I liked the original EVOD tank,
so I had a coupon code at a vendor and just on a whim,
added an EVOD glass tank to my cart...
didn't think much about it, and when I got it out and used it I was Very impressed

it is a great little tank, works very good

(I don't care for dual coils so I converted mine to single coil)

maybe another style you might find interesting
is the Kanger T3'D (it uses same coil as EVOD glass), holds more fluid, not glass
- Kanger T3D - Kanger Clearomizers - Kangertech - Clearomizers Tanks

these T3's were my workhorse tanks many months ago, really liked their performance

:)

Hi guys,

Mvp2 arrived today, for £30 I'm impressed! Not as big as I'd heard people saying it was, just a perfect size and feels like a good solid build. My only issue is I can't seem to get as much vapour production as I'd been hoping for with my evod glass or the iclear 30. I've tried every different wattage setting but can't really tell the difference. The device is obviously much better than the ego, but I'd like a little more vapour. What I have noticed is people seem to get more vapour than myself, it may just me that my body absorbs more or something. Do you have any tips for me regarding getting more vapour?

I bet that you'd LOVE the Aspire Nautilus Mini Tank. It uses BVC (bottom Vertical coils) and it has 4 options for adjustable airflow.
I use nautilus mini on my MVP V2 @ 11watts and with the max airflow option. It provides Awesome flavor and very good vapor production. It's really is a great tank.
Use Google & compare prices and you can find one for $24-$25. I also found a 10% vendor coupon code to knock a couple of bucks off. Couldn't be happier.
The nautilus mini works great on my Aspire Battery and my IStick also.
Congrats on giving up the cigs.. Vaping on any equipment beats smoking!

I also have the MVP2.0. I love this thing. I run the Kanger protank2 on it mostly. Sometimes I use my mimi protank3 and my Aspire Maxi tanks. They all produce about the same vape.....except the mini Protank3, this little guy can produce some vapes! I don't have to run my MVP at max settings either to get some good vape from the mini PT3. I have not tried the EVOD2 tanks yet, although I would like to.

Can strongly recommend the evod glass, I tried the protank in my local store the other day and it was nice but won't be buying any more tanks as I tend to stick to the same juice and am so far happy with the evod glass. I'll maybe upgrade in a couple of months or so. The mvp2, however, has completely changed the way I think about vaping. Amazing piece of kit! Once I've finished my 30ml of 70/30 juice I'm going to give 50/50 a try for more vape as my local store are beginning to stock it this week.
