Expert help needed to DIY my vaping unicorn!!

Hi all...
I am looking to start DIY'ing for the main reason of trying to replicate and tweak my only all time favorite vape...Bloogs ry4...in hopes to be able to to tweak a little more flavor/richness, or if nothing else to be able to insure consistency (not a BMF slam, just that mass production batches can vary alot). After much reading to try to determine where to start, I quickly realized I am about 100 fails away from even getting close so I figure the best place to turn is the experts! (if only it were as easy as just adding caramel and vanilla to a 'bacco juice!)

Here are my major dilemmas:

• What flavoring to use (ie TPA, Capellas, FA, etc) as I realize there are tremendous differences that can completely change what you end up with...and to really intimidate I see many recipes use multiple!
• what other components does this recipe need (ie EM, VapeWizard,etc)?
• what tobacco do I start with (huge variable!) or do I use an 'ry4' flavoring like TPA Double instead?

I am really, really hoping some of you with the experience and the palate have tried Bloogs ry4 enough to help me!
I tried SO many companies looking for a same/better ry4 and now know DIY is my only way...but I also realize I simply dont have the experience and palate to do it without crazy amounts of trial and error, time, and supplies...so any and all help would be greatly appreciated!

Never tried Bloogs RY4 so can't help you there but can help steer you a little. FlavourArt tobaccos make an excelent base that numerous notes can be added. Lots of places have great flavors that can be added to your tobacco base FlavourArt, TPA, Loranns & Capellas. The new VZ alcohol flavors have shown great promise, but not sure yet how they work with others.

Thanks AzP...all input and personal experience is appreciated as it seems like DIY will be quite the learning journey. Hopefully some folks that have tried the BMF ry4 and can equate it to specific ingredients will weigh in too!

Any DIY'ers that have tried BMF or SI's RY4 and can offer some thoughts?

I have not used the Bloog RY4, but maybe still able to help a bit.

Have tried the TPA RY4 double (10%) and I like it. It’s a bit of a dessert-type taste, without being overly sweet, if you like that you can't go very wrong with it. Mayby adding some extra nut-taste should be nice.

Just read elsewhere someone who used a mix with;
-TPA RY4 double (5%)
- FA RY4 (4%)
- TPA Maple Syrup (1%)
The person said this mix is fantastic.....; that's promising.

I wil try this mix later on. Maybe you can also give it a try. Heard the FA-RY4 has a more grassy-type of taste. You can always play with the percentages, f.e. up the FA %-part, if more of the FA RY4-taste is wanted.

Last; I use in all my mixes (70 PG/30 VG) 1 drop FA Vapewizard/10ml.

I'm thinking you should try Chinese flavorings as thats probably what is in the RY4 in Bloog and Volt. Vaping Zone has some great tobaccos-- chinese made flavorings and ecigexpress has some Hangsen RY4 flavoring which I believe is based in VG and reminded me of Volt's RY4. Hope that helps. Its doubtful Bloog is using Capella's or TFA--someone else is making the juices for them. You may never be able to exactly replicate but you'd be in the ballpark. Hope that helps.

Lydia & shilo: Does help on both counts...TY.

Good point on the flavorings (domestic vs chinese) as it is a custom for them but still china made liquid. If I can get a close base or the right tobacco to work from I may be ok...its just when we get in to Wizard and some of the other non flavoring (per se) ingredients that can do wonders and shape a recipe that I am utterly clueless so I am holding out some hope that some ECF folks that wow me by speaking to ingredients like chemists may have vaped BMF/SI ry4 and can say try x+y+z and work from there. Not being lazy, just realistic that I'm a novice!

time to research chinese flavorings in case I have to start a 'poke n hope' replication!!
