I recently purchased an authentic Expromizer and so far I am liking it. I am having some issues with the wicking that I'm hoping someone can help me with. I'm running a 1.7 ohm micro coil wrapped on a 7/64 drill bit on a sigelei 50w box mod. I am wicking with rayon. I twist only the end of the rayon to get it through the coil. I shoot to have the density to where it will just slide back and forth without moving the coil, and I get a little squeak. I have not experienced any leaking issues. Most of the time when I'm at work I run it pretty low wattage because I'm gone for 10-12 hours and I don't usually carry any spare juice. For the most part, at low wattage, I don't get any dry hits. When I'm at home, however, I like to run it a little hotter(15w), and I get dry hits. I have noticed that I'm only getting bubbles to rise when I tilt the device so that the juice channel is pointed up. When I tilt it and get the bubbles to rise it wicks in enough juice to get 3-4 hits before another dry hit. As far as I can tell I'm not having issues with the vacuum. Right after I rewick, I put my finger over the air hole and give it a few quick draws to get the juice flowing. When I do this, I can't hear any air, so I assume the vacuum is good. Anyone have any ideas where I'm going wrong?

I'll post some pictures to show what I'm doing now. The first 4 pictures are of the used wick before I took it out. The remaining pictures are of the fresh wick going in.

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

I have a couple eXpromizers but use cotton. When I wicking I don't paint the cotton with liquid but pull the dry wick up through them chimney and cut it about 1mm above the rim. Working from back to front I gently work the wick down into the chimney to the deck. Once in place I wet it down.

I use this method and don't have any wicking issues.

Go to the 17:00 minute mark for the wicking.

Thanks for the link. Watched the video and wrapped a new coil..28 guage, 3/32 drill bit, 8 wraps spaced, 1.5 ohms. Wicked it the way he showed and just chain vaped it hard at 20w for 5 mintues and no dry hits. Looks like my issue is solved. Thanks for the help.

BTW...I'd still like to hear any other suggestions on how I could improve my experience with the expromizer so please chime in!
