Mine arrived today from I Fancy One. I've emailed them asking if Exvape will be sending them new parts

I'm hesitant to build it until understand the impact the faulty spring will have. Hate to go through the trouble of building it then have it not fire. Does anybody know exactly what the problem is?

Still waiting on mine from Exvape, but my understanding is that the spring may not be very "springy" and they will be sending a sturdier spring. If that's the case, I suppose the potential problem is for the spring to collapse and you may not have good contact at the 510. Doubt it would be a safety issue.

I'll be building mine when it gets here. :)

So I decided to build my Expromizer and the weak spring doesn't seem to affect it on my sigelei 20W. Wish I had bought a few more - for me at least its a better vape than my Kayfun or Russians. Not a gurgle, not even the beginnings of a dry hit. As close to dripping as anything I have experienced. Geez I love this thing.

I received my Expromizer v1.1 in the mail today.

Curious to know what others think of the build quality on theirs when they receive it.

Here's what I think: It's pretty shabby. I had high expectations for what was my first authentic, original atomizer, and it fell far short.

The threading, IMO, is terrible. Not only in feel, but even obviously rough in appearance. The threading inside of the chimney is so rough, it snags the cotton tails of my wick as I try to screw it on. The rest of the threading on the base and top cap is marginally better. While it all screws together, it doesn't do so smoothly. I have a pair $14 Kayfun clones that have nicer threading in them.

The brushed finish of the atomizer has small surface scratches all over it.......another disappoint for my first "authentic" atomizer.

Lastly, the drip tip? It doesn't match the Expromizer's appearance at all, in neither style or finish. It's a relatively cheesy polished SS drip tip you might expect to find for $1.25 on Fasttech. You would find it on Fasttech, but you wouldn't order it.

Most importantly: How does it vape? EXCELLENT. Although, I expected a little more open draw on it's widest setting, the draw is nice compare to a standard KFL. I put a 2.2mm coil, with 8 wraps of 26ga for 1.0Ω, and wicked it with cotton. Great vapor, great flavor using a 30/70 PG/VG liquid (thick). No dry hits, no leaking thus far. Filling it is a breeze, Taifun GT style, which also means the coil and wick can be serviced without emptying your tank.

I am 80% satisfied with this purchase, but I think I will be contacting them to see what they have to say about the nasty threading. I am unlikely to want to hassle with having to ship the thing back to Germany for repair or replacement.

I got the 1.1 from ifancyone and I have been noticing the spring losing contact here and there so far. But not to bad so far. I didn't like the air draw so I just took off the the ring to pick the air hole. Not pretty but works pretty well I might drill out a hole in the ring and widen one of those other air holes later. But ya threading does suck a little but good vape so far

This is what's keeping me from buying one. They're made in china, probably right alongside the tobeco kayfuns. While this atomizer might have a good design, the quality is sorely lacking and it's no secret.

I had only seen good reviews, so my expectations were high. Had I known what the quality of the atomizer would be, I would have saved my money.

I have mailed them with my concerns. Two days and no response. Go figure.

the quality of mine is better than the fastech clones that i have--the threading is good on mine.... i am having problems with flooding and leaking though--the juicechannels are big and I have yet to get the wicking quite right--but--when it vapes it vapes very nicely--excellant flavor- equal or better than my kayfuns-i am using the second largest airflow

I have had mine for about a week. Besides the drip tip not matching I think its a pretty decent device. I am not having any problems and it is easy to refill. I don't look at is as a original mod and it has to be perfect. I look at it's price. I have paid $50 for kfl clones. So for the $62 i spent on this, I think it is a good device. Its a good device to mess with new juices because its so easy to change things out.

I finally received an email response from ExVape in regards to my concerns over the scratches in it's finish and poor threading.....I didn't receive that reply until about 10 minutes after I posted a review on their site mentioning the finish and threading.

They, of course, offered to refund my money if I returned it to them, which I won't bother to hassle with.

Instead, I'll probably sell it locally and get my money back that way. I find myself going back to my KFL anyway.

I received the spring fix in the mail today from Exvape.

I was surprised that the fix they sent was not a new spring, and instead, an updated 510 pin.

It is working great and definitely corrects the issue.

The longer I own it, the more I am enjoying the Expromizer and forgetting about it's short comings in the threading department.

No issues with flooding here. Try using more cotton then you would with a Kayfun and covering the wells (gently) with cotton, instead of leaving the juice channels exposed as many would on a Kayfun.
