Do these fit into the PCC's? What makes them the "new style"?

no, sorry to say they dont fit, but you can use it leaving the case open.

pcc will charge them but not close....newer style is that the air holes are slightly larger than older xl's and other upgrades such as switch may be some other stuff I'm sure someone will chime in that knows.

We have altered the air flow configuration since our last batch on the XL's. These draw easier than the last batch of XL's.

What is the battery life like comparing the old XL batteries and the regular length ones?

shortie = 180 mah
regular 280 mah
xl = 380 mah

I use the XL manuals over my mods, they perform well.

It should be around the same as the old XL batteries. I normally get 3-4 hours out of a regular battery and around 5 out of an XL. But I puff pretty constantly.
