Extra Long Battery, how long should it last?

The Reason I am asking I have 2 new ones.
Just got my first V4L kit

Charged them up before using them.

I got 5 hours on ONE of them..... and 2 hours on the OTHER.
Charged them up again, and got the same amount of time.
They are manual batteries.

Yes I do vape a lot, but am wondering about the difference between the 2-5 hours.
I am happy with the 5 hours, that works great!!!
Am I missing something on the other battery (the one that lasts 2 hours)? Or is that the norm and I just got lucky with the 5 hour one?

So I am sitting here using my 510 again because one is on the charger and one is waiting to go on the charger

It's all going to depend on how long you press the button and how many times you press the button, but I get at least 5 hours on my XL manuals. Are the two XL the same age or is one older than the other?

I do tend to hold the button down and take long drags, I guess I just do not get why one of them lasts 5 hours and one lasts 2.
I have charged them twice now with the same results ( 5 hrs & 2 hrs )

I charged them until they turned green.
Took about 2 hours for each one.
Still, I dont know why there is a difference in the usage hours.

Do they both have the same timer (i.e. 13 second cutoff)? If one has a shorter timer (5 second cutoff) that one should last longer. I find that my newer batteries that have the longer shutoff drain faster but it's a more satisfying vape, so it's worth the trade off.

I would charge both for at least 8 hours (whether it shows charging complete or not) and then test to see if that made any difference. Are you charging both on the same charger? If not have you switched chargers to see if that made a difference?

Thank you, I will check the 13 sec cut off on both and charge them both for 8 hours each and see if that makes a difference on the 2 hour one.
I only have the 1 charger that came with the kit.

One more question, are you timing the batteries until it's completely drained or until you notice a drop off in vapor. Just to eliminate the possibility that your carto has run out of juice, I would time it until the battery is completely drained.

Charging them 8 hours wont do anything. Sounds like you got a bad battery. 2 hours for a XL, no matter how much you use it, is not right. You should contact V4L.

Not a necessity with Lithium technologies. Charge 'em until the charger says they're good to go. If the charger says they're good, it's not going to give them any additional charge no matter what you do.

Yea, I am thinking you are right, I just hate to complain, I had a PT that I started with that was not working well and they replaced it pronto.

I was hoping this battery problem was something I was doing wrong...but bottom line I am sitting here using my old 510 waiting for one battery to charge up (been on charger for 3 hours) so I can charge up another one.

The biggest reason I got this kit is so I would not be replacing batts all day.

it sounds like that 2 hour batt is a dud, imo. better to replace it and not deal with the hassle, specially if you're gonna make another order soon.

I get about 5 hours on all 3 of my xl's
2 auto and 1 manual

I try not to drain them till they flash,It seems to effect the charging somehow.You should def get more than 2 hours from an xl.I always charge one while Im using the other and I never run out.

I currently have 3 Manual XLs in rotation and each batt consistently lasts me 8-9 hrs and that's with not running them till they blink. If I use them till they blink it's about 10 hrs.

I know it's not fun to make a complaint but something is definitely up with the batt that's only lasting 2 hrs. Even my reg length batts last longer than that. I would definitely give Val the heads up about it and they will take care of you.

Yep I just tried it again, fully charged and it lasted 2.5 hours.
I will email Val this evening and explain what is happening.
