Hi,

I have been using this clearomzer for about a week. Almost the first day i started experiencing a lot of leaking. I was super excited for this new toy and I do understand there are duds. I am hoping this not a consistent problem like with the G4.

Does anyone know of a fix other than the bin?

Thanks and have a great new year

Well it depends, if its something as simple as the gasket is just pinched you should be able to just push the center pin down and reset the gasket and then replace the pin.

If its broken..... not much that I can think of.

Either way if it is the gasket its going to be a difficult fix if its even possible.

Ill keep my fingers crossed its just the base & plastic tube.

It's a bit difficult to see the clearomizer from the photo and where the leaking is.

A few general rules with large clearos:

1) Don't overfill. Some of the new clearos can hold a lot of liquid - but not necessarily very well. Best practise - fill what you need up to 3/4 full. This way you don't lose all your liquid if you accidentally drop it or it starts leaking.

2) Store when out of use. Don't leave your batt and clearo connected for hours untouched. Best to detach the clearo and stow in a carrying case.

3) If you have a dud that's leaking everywhere be careful with the glue. Getting glue on the inside of the clearo can make your liquid taste REALLY REALLY BAD. If there is no place to put the glue that doesn't interfere with where your liquid sits - head to the hardware store and get a tube of clear silicone to seal the errant clearo.

Just out of curiosity, is there a difference in the silicone between the stuff you buy at the hardware store and the stuff you get at the pet store for sealing aquariums? I've been told that the aquarium stuff may be better to use when it comes to being submerged in something we're consuming.

Hey good call Mindfield.

I've never had fish - so didn't know that one (labs never last on a walk through the fish section....)

I have been using one of these for aweek without problems, hell i have even droped it with a lavatube and it still works great. On a side note do you guys know of any cover for it? When iits not in use like when im asleep i dont want any critters getting at my juice.

A ziplock bag maybe....
