I have some 80/20 pg/vg 36 mg and it us unbearably harsh! I also have some 24 mg of an unlnown pg/vg ratio that is perfect. The juice is MUCH thicker so im thibking its like 60/40 or something. Is the pg vs vg really make a difference in throat hit? Or is it mostly because of the nicotine difference??

There are a lot of factors that make a juice harsh. Flavor of the juice, pg/vg ratio, flavorings, cheap juice. The biggest factor is nicotine content. Don't believe me? Get the same juice in zero nicotine, vape it and see.

VG will smooth the juice out somewhat- also make it much thicker. It may help, but higher nicotine, stronger juice is harsher.

I believe you, :?: Nothing to do with OP; I ordered some RAWR juices when I first started vaping 18mg 70/30 PG/VG. Ordered more RAWR juices, same combo; ordered yet again and all of a sudden it's too harsh. Didn't change anything. I've tried other juices, 40/60 (VG/PG) @ 12mg which was a bust, not enough TH or flavor; currently have some 18mg 40VG/60PG and it's too harsh. I personally prefer the PG/VG ratio (PG being higher) as it seems it's more flavorful, but seems no matter what combo, I cannot handle the 18mg anymore and I just started vaping 3 months ago but it seems like overnight 18mg became too much. Will now be ordering my favorite juices in 12mg and mixing with the 18 to get 14, 15, 16 mg and see what works best.

Yes. Give a non smoker even a 6mg nic and they will able able to tell.

I dont realy thing the extra nicoteen makes it go from perfect vape to unbearable in 12 mgs... could it really??.. maybe its just the way the juice looks in comparison. Im going to try some 50/50 or 100vg today after work. Maybe get an epower atomizer tank or something. Thanks guys

some juices have a "harsh" undertone by design, for whatever reason. when you add 12mg of nic to it to boot, you get a double whammie. as others have said, pg does add little bit to the harshness but i think you are experiencing the combined factor of different juice/pg/vg ration and nic....and not in that order. i think the nic is the biggest thief in this drama.
you can mello it out a bit by buying 0/6/12mg juice and dilute it to make it 24mg.
