I applaud the effort, and think it was decently written. however, there are so many spelling, grammatical, & punctuation errors, that it kind of kills the overall impact & effectiveness of the entire piece. They definitely needed to have the document proof read a bit more thoroughly, before submitting it, if they wanted to make a greater impact and to be taken seriously.

You know how I REALLY know I have more energy? I was ALWAYS a diehard rock n roll fan; had no use for country music whatever, till I was about 45; modern country music has started sounding a lot like a good bit of the 'southern rock' of the 70s, but mainly it just suited my energy level -- not so frantic and frenetic.

But lately, if I listen to any country music at all, it's Dwight Yoakam, some of his real uptempo rockabilly; mostly I listen to rock and blues -- Zeppelin, ZZ Top, Black Crowes, even Johnny Winter -- and it doesn't seem frantic at all, it makes me want to dance! So I do -- and I don't fall down dying to catch my breath, a painful 'stitch' in my side and in my chest!

Not to throw this thread off topic, but if you like the classic rock sound, you should listen to some of the newer modern rock. Bands like Breaking Benjamin, Brand New, Default, Extreme, The Used, Foo Fighters, and others. They all have pretty much adopted the old style "tone" of the classic analog rock (not electronic) sound, with a more modern theme and great vocals.

Slam dancing is not required, but it is encouraged.

Love the Foo Fighters. Haven't heard the others, except maybe Breaking Benjamin, think my son listens to them. I like Disturbed, although Disturbed could do with a bit less of that "uhh uhh uhh" noise the singer makes, and Avenged 7Fold; when my son discovered "Nightmare" on my playlist he was all  but it's his fault, he showed me the video. :D Couple other newish bands, that don't leap to mind, that my son also introduced me to. I love rock n roll!!! :D

But I'm much too old for slam dancing; fractures must be avoided once you're in your 50's. :D

I love alternative rock. If you listen carefully on some, you can actually hear the influence that was put into their music.

I think the whole document was well stated and put together in such a way that it should be considered. The questions are still "Will they read it and actually consider acting?" and "What are their true motives to begin with?". Everything I have seen and heard seems to point to big business entities and the organizations that stand to lose the most, have the most money. Sadly, the money dictates what is done, how it is done and by whom things are done. This is not to say we shouldn't try and as many of us as possible be active and involved, it is more to ask, "How do we get involved in such a way as to have a significant impact on these regulations over and above the influence of the companies and organizations that have the monetary influence?". Our government and its agencies have grown well past being affected by a group getting together and pushing crates of tea in the harbor but I believe if enough of us stand up, someone will do something. How do I become part of the solution?

Have you joined a consumer Advocacy Group like CASAA? CASAA - The Consumer Advocates for Smoke-free Alternatives Association

Have you Written to your State and Federal Reps and voiced your Concerns and Opinions?

Have you Contacted the FDA?

These would be a good way to start.

I can see an opportunity for some enterprising entrepreneur---a few years from now, after peer-review research confirms the efficacy of vaping as as a smoking cessation device --while we are vaping our cigalikes and remembering the "good ol days"

That individual submits a device and eliquid for sale to the FDA not as a tobacco product but as a medical device that helps people quit smoking.

And we see commercials on TV with words like:

"Some people have experienced resumption of taste, smell, increased lung function, ability to climb stairs or engage in other physical activities, loss of body odor and yellowed teeth.
Ask your doctor in the Provari NRT is right for you and about additional flavors available from your pharmacist"

And we will have come full circle.
