Hello all, newbie signing in! I've been vaping for 5 weeks now after smoking for the past 15 years. This is the third time I've tried e-cigs and at last (fingers crossed) it seems to have stuck.

I've always been somewhat enamoured with the idea of e-cigs but the previous two experiences were underwhelming. I first tried the original cigarette sized atomisers when they first appeared and then about a year later disposables but both times they just didn't do it for me.

Recently I tried again but with ego type batteries and a kanger mini protank and at last it all clicked. Just this weekend I have spent a portion of the money I've saved from not smoking proper fags and invested in an itaste MVP v2 and an Aspire mini nautilus. Now I'm busy annoying both my colleagues and my partner with clouds of vapour!

Welcome to the forum BilltheBloody - sounds like you've cracked it by moving onwards and upwards away from the cigalikes and disposables - which is more or less what happened with me 8 months ago now (and I never thought I'd be able to give up smoking). My iTaste VV3s and MVP have really made all the difference !

Good luck ! :)

HA! HAAA!... Your registration with the mythical vape box has been completed and over the next month or two you may very well find odd vaping items appear that you have no clue as to there origin! LOL! screwdrivers, clippers, wicking matls, bottles of eliquid... Don't panic it comes with the process! Cheers on not giving up and giving it another go! :toast:

Awright, fae Scotland! I also started with a cheap ego and have already upgraded and got myself a MVP 2 and an itaste vv 3 and it's only been 4 weeks! Also just like you I'm preaching the good word on the vaping revolution to everyone around me. They seem like a good bunch on here, I've already pestered them with my questions :)

Good luck in your journey and vape on! :vapor:

Honestly I'm finding it hard to stop looking wistfully at all the fancy mods but yes the setup I have now should set me up for a good long time. The only problem I really have now is settling on some decent e - juices. I am primarily on Dekang as it's cheap and easy to get. I have tried different juices again and again at various e-cig shops and have fairly poor results. I believe its because most of the shops near me order in from China instead of mixing themselves. The end results have been fairly poor but then again I'm reluctant to drop up to a ten quid for a bottle over the net when I can't try it first.

Anyway thanks all for the warm welcome.

I've been having similar problems finding the right brand of e-liquid, the ones I'm using are 'meh' ok...doing the job I suppose. I want to find the right one but not spend loads without knowing what anything will taste like first. I read up on all of good names and just ordered from Joose Juice because they do 10ml tasters for £1.49! Other option I was considering was signing up to zamplebox,

Welcome "William, Bill for short" :D You'll love your upcoming MVP. I don't have the Nautilus, but I hear amazing things about it.

It took me over 3 years to find the right equipment. I'm now five months without a cigarette and not missing them one bit. I'm oohing and ahhhing over "shinies". Waiting for a bit longer to pull the trigger on the next "gadget". Trying to decide what my next "vaping step" is going to be. I rebuild coils and kayfuns, make my own juice. Haven't delved into drippers or sub-ohmming.

Like jblack says, random things will start appearing in the post, and you're just not sure from where they've come ;)

Enjoy the :vapor: - Cheers!
