Eye drop bottles...

So allergies are making my eyes itchy, and I've had the eye drops out...

They come in a plastic dropper bottle like we use for our liquids, only often times they're the FLAT type (think Visine). Why don't WE use this bottle shape??

They would store with so much less wasted space compared to the round bottles, for the consumer as well as retailers and manufacturers....

Just a odd thought, any ideas about this?

The cost.

I have not seen a source of the type of bottle you suggest. The round ones are cheaply and readily available from most vape shops and bottle sellers all over the USA and China.

I get my menthol from the UK. It comes in the flat Visine type bottle. I thought as you did that a Visine bottle might work as well but then I thought about grabbing it at the wrong time and squirting menthol in my eye. Now, I just save the bottles from the vendor.

I guess I was thinking more from a historical standpoint...round bottles are pretty much all that are available from our suppliers, agreed, because it's what we've been using and sold by the juice vendors...perhaps because vaping started as smaller independent businesses. Companies that sell to larger retailers have to deal with the concepts of 'shelf space' and 'shipping volume' with their packaging. If we started out using flat bottles years ago they would have been sourced cheaply to us eventually as the round bottles are now...
