Really? Yeah, everyone's tastes vary, but it doesn't taste like RY4 to me at all.

I just got some Shade flavoring today and was having trouble placing it. Finally I figured out that it tastes exactly like some sample RY4 I got quite some time ago from Domestic Vapor.
I'm vaping some Shade right now at 10% flavor seems to have more of a fruity flavor, I like it.
What's the deal with the high percentages? It's suggested at 2% - What does it do the the taste at 10-12%? I gotta try that

From what I read in the forums FA tobacco is better at 10% seems to bring out the flavor more.
I just had some RY4 from LF today, and right now I am vaping shade at 8% - To me they taste nothing alike. The RY4 is sweeter and has more caramel. Shade... It seems that I know the taste, but I can't really place it... It's pretty nice though. I bet it's better when it has steeped for a while
I also have FA Ultimate Cam-Tel, 7Leaves and Dark Vapure that I haven't tried yet. I think I'll get some more dripper bottles tomorrow, then I'll prepare 5ml of them all

Flavor percentages are a mystery to me. My favorite Latakia tastes great at around 2%, but I was mixing FA tobacco flavors at nearly 15% and they tasted fine as well. My biggest problem is that I like to test in 2ml batches, making it virtually impossible to combine multiple flavors at 2%.
I have had RY4 from a number of different vendors and it was just one of them that Shade was similar to. Definitely not the one from LF.
I did try combining some latakia and dark vapure, it did not turn out well very nasty.
As someone who'll put latakia in almost anything, I have to say I don't think I'd use it with Dark Vapure, at least not with DV as a high percantage, primary flavor.
I used to like DV as a strong primary flavor, but I think I developed a sensitivity, because now it makes me sneeze. So I just use it as bit of a top note type flavoring now. Strong latakia, with a hint of DV might turn out quite well.

What about diluting the flavor to 10% in PG and then using that to flavor the test batch?
sometimes I just combine juices to see how they will turn out. I'm pleased with the results that I got from perique black and apple
Great! I'm enjoying it right now. It's amazing how sweet the Shade makes it. Dark Vapure and Mellow Sunset both seem to me to have a sort of green hay (for lack of a better description that I can't come up with) overtone to them and the Shade softens that nicely. Thanks for the tip.
