I thought I seen someone (I think MaryKay but apologizing now if I am wrong ) on this board that once they started vaping their face broke out.

Ever since I have started vaping my forehead has been breaking out BAD! I have never had major issues with my face, not even as a teen. The most would be a pimple here and there.

Is anyone else having this problem? Any clues on how to clear it up? I have been vaping for 6 weeks now with a 1 week break where I had to go back to analogs while waiting for a shipment.

My face actually cleared up a lot when I started vaping... are you using PG or VG.. maybe you're getting the vape in your face or touching your forehead with it on your fingers and it's making your skin more oily?? I've read a lot of posts from people saying they had breakouts when they started vaping and one thing I noticed is that most of them, like you, said they never had breakouts as a kid. It makes me suspect the juice on fingers thing.. the reason I say that is because those like me (pizza faced teens) train themselves to quit touching their faces in order to minimize breakouts, maybe the juice on the skin can cause it? I'd test this theory for the sake of science.. but I just don't love you guys THAT much.. I finally got my acne under controll not to long ago (under controll being no more than 3 pimples at a time) and I don't want to waste all that hard work.

You know I never thought of the juice getting on my fingers, then me touching my face! I will try to be more mindful of that!

Currently I am using pg juice. I have heard that if you have allergic reactions that you should use vg, and I do have a few of the 3ml of Ecopure but have yet to try it.

What are you using now vg or pg? Ha maybe I do need to try the ecopure afterall!

I think it's because the juice is oily.. not necessarilly anything to do with PG or VG

I mainly vape e-smokeytreat's Strawberry 36mg (PG)

But I also have some ecopure.. honestly not a fan of the taste of it (probably because of the vg) but I use it sometimes when want to vape without flavor (IE.. during a meal) since there only thing you can really taste is the VG lol

I also have a bottle of strawberrycheesecake flavored juice from Walrus it's both PG and VG and no matter what I vape I don't get any extra breakouts (except I noticed a little bit ago I have several tiny pimples right on the bridge of my nose where I sometimes pinch when I have a headache) but I'm super careful about not touching my face when I have an itch only my fingernails touch my skin, same with when my hair gets in my face but I've had acne since I was 7 (yes.. 7) so it's second nature for me to keep my hair or hands from touching the skin on my face.

Also if the vapor has a tendency to blow back into your face that might have an effect too.. 1 it could leave a greasy residue (like I've noticed mine does on my windshield in the car) or 2 it could dry out your skin causing your body to react by making your face MORE oily which in turn could cause you to have more breakouts (discovered this when the lady at the drug store freaked out on me for not moisturizing when I told her I didn't use moisturizer because of my acne )

LOL I grew up a tom boy in a virtually acne free family so I got to figure out what works and what didn't on my own (probably why I was 20 before I got it under control :grr: ) so when it comes to breakouots.. I've got plenty of input for ya :D

Jenn, Not saying that your symptoms aren't from vaping P.G...because who knows for sure! But I am saying we all eat/use P.G. in things like ice cream, toothpaste, vitamins ect. on a daily basis. If people were allergic to it, why do the allergies just appear when they vape? Before anyone says because it's vaporized not swallowed. Surely they have been to a concert or play where fog machines are used..or used an inhaler of some sort (they use P.G.)
I am just curious, not accusing! I think maybe it's the flavors when combined with P.G..
As for breakouts..all gone! So is that oily sticky feeling. I doubt it's touching your skin with sticky fingers..lol I lick mine first!8-o

I had the same thing for the first couple of weeks I vaped, but it went away. I think it was from quiting smoking rather than from starting vaping. Interestingly enough, I was just looking around on a symptoms of quiting smoking list and sore throat was listed as one of the most common. I guess the sore throat that most of us had when we first started vaping was probably caused from quiting smoking rather than from starting vaping too. Same with the intestinal issues that people have been attributing to getting used to vaping.

I am pretty sure the tummy problems and gas were from P.G...it's used as a laxative! But that stops too. I also think the sore throat is from vaping like fools when we frist start. It's so different from smoke! P.G. is used in hummidors to suck out the moisture around cigars. That too we get over..unless we forget to drink lots of liquids!

Didn't have any face breakouts, but did have a couple of white pimples on my gums, that scared me, but that went away within 24 hrs. My face seems to be clearer, but I contribute that to drinking more water due to the dry throat issues. VG seems to give me stomach problems, so PG is my additive of choice.

It's great to share all of this info in these threads to learn more about our new experience of vaping. I love to "live and learn".
