What's up guys I gotta a couple failed coil builds I thought id shared
First off we will start with a wickless build
I took one peices 24g kanthal
And one peices twisted flat ribbon
Wrapped them like a loose clapton
Problem with this thing was it fired like 2 coils instead of one. 24g would get hot and glow red, but the twisted part was such a higher ohm it wouldn't glow and the 24g couldn't heat the excess wire enough to vape anything lol.
NeXT up I had some spare 32g that came with an atty, so I thought hell I can make a octo build with this, and I ended up trying a "dual quad parallel" build
4 wraps around 2.4mm would have got ne around .25ohms but when I went to install I messed up one of the coils so it turned into a single quad parallel.
fired up insatantly red hot hurt ky eyes lol only .5ohms also
But crap I popped the legs ttaking this pic so never got to Vape it...
