Fairly new battery dead already?

Hello all! My husband and I are new to vaping (August 2014) I have usually been able to find answers here (thank goodness for this forum lol) to any problems that we have had along the way but now am stumped and can't quite find the answer.
My husband has the EVOD starter kit with two 900 batteries. I have a 650 battery (because it had flowers and was girly :) ) but am not sure what brand it is, only has a CE on the silver band that has the button. They have been just fine and working properly until yesterday. We both had ours on chargers like usual and when we went to get them ready for the day we discovered they didn't work.

Mine had the green light on indicating it was charged. When I put my clearomizer on and went to hit it, the light started flashing like it does when the battery is dying and only got one small "puff" on it. I put it back on charger and light turned green right away like fully charged. I thought hmmmm, maybe it's the clearomizer. I put the clearomizer on my second battery (eGo-T 1100) and it works fine. I removed battery from charger and fully cleaned contact with alcohol and lifted pin (all suggestions I got from this site) and still the same problem. If I press the button with nothing on it, it lights up like normal.

My husbands battery (only one of them is not working) also had a green light indicating a full charge. His however does not even light up when the button is pushed. When put back on the charger the light on the battery will flash three times, pause then flash three more times and the light on the charger is green. Did the same thing with his battery, cleaned and lifted pin. Still not working.

We know the batteries don't last forever but surely they last more than two months. Any ideas what the problem may be? We also moved the chargers to a different outlet thinking that may be the problem, but nope, still don't work. Thanks!

Could be not making a good connection with the tank. My Spinner 2 will flash occasionally, I think it is a short warning, you just need to back it off a hair and then it works. The connectors are not real high quality in the lower end batteries and the pin get squished down. Also try different tanks and see if they work, switch with him or something.

Ok, just tried easing the tanks back, still not working. Got excited, thought mine was working but it was just loosened to the point where there was no contact and lit up like it does when there is nothing on it. Hubby's still absolutely nothing. We have been ready to upgrade and have some VV batteries on the way, but thinking now we may want to upgrade even more to a more reliable system.

is it possible you swapped the chargers by accident?

because if they are different brands of batteries, another brands charger while it will fit.. could kill a battery.

otherwise a bit strange that the both died at the same time, unless you had some strange power spike in your home power.

That was my first thought. It's very odd that both batteries start having a problem at the same time. I had not thought of the chargers being switched but it would make sense, as well.

Both of the batteries are giving indications that the protection circuit has been tripped, rendering the batteries now useless. It could have happened for several reasons but now that is has happened none of it is correctable.

You may have just got cheap knockoffs. There is some correlation between low price batteries and life span. When I started I bought real Joyetech eGo's from a known Joyetech dealer. I used four of those batteries non-stop for my first nine months of vaping and they never failed. Hell, they still work even - but I don't use them but rarely now.

One other possibility is: eGo class batteries are not meant for low resistance devices. Even 1.8 ohm coils are pushing the amp limits of this type of battery. If you were using something like 1.5 ohm stuff it can either prematurely wear out the battery or trip the safety protection circuit.
