Here while back I'd purchased a bunch of 18650 batteries.
Mostly LG H2 & 4's. Samesungs, Panasonics and what I'd thought was Sony.
But found out they are cloned.
So I just sit them to the side and thought oh well.
Anyhow, i have a few extra regulated box mods & thought that I'd try some of these cloned Sonys.
They seem to work and last just as long as my other batteries.
My question, has anyone ever found out what these cloned batteries actually are?
I've been keeping a close watch on these fake Sonys.
No issues so far.

The risks way out weigh the rewards in my opinion. If they have issues at best you are out the price of a mod but can just as easily end up with injury or serious property damage. Id say toss them in the recycle bin at best buy and get some legit batteries.
You will never regret getting legit but you might end up regretting using knock offs is it really worth 20 or 40$?

Especially if your pairing them in a box mod. You Have no clue what or how or even if you are the first to use them.

I've read that they may be re wrap Samsungs.
They seem to be ok, as far as these type of batteries go.
My regulated mod meter and my ohms/battery meter reads the same output.
They last as long as my other batteries.
Efest uses LG H2's from what I've read.
Nobody is going to recommend you risking it. Several knowledgeable members have already suggested dumping them. A known clone is as dangerous as the cheapest, most unreliable battery on the market.

You are correct but at least Efest batteries have a brand you are uesing something that has no backing what so ever also the Efest batteries would not of been used in a bank of batteries in a robot at some factory. How about those two smiling people in your avatar picture if you were to hurt your self you would be hurting them also. So before you put the clone batteries any place other than the recycle bin take a minute and think of what you can say to them so they wont feel so bad about the pain your in tell them its ok you saved 20$ They will understand right?

Your a grown Man so do as you will but taking safety short cuts is plane ignorant behavior and while you might talk your self in to such foolishness you will not find enablers here.

That's easy, whatever the counterfeiter was able to get that day cheap.

The problem with your chart is it could be accurate for the counterfeit bought today, and way off for the batteries bought tomorrow. ( or from a different counterfeiter)

They will be rewraps and could be any brand which is worrying enough but the worst part is these might have been heavily used and binned before just got a rewrap and sold on. They might seem to be lasting ok but that's usually the case till they go bad at the worst and often unforeseeable time with consequences. I'm a bit of a tight fist but when it comes to battery's I take the time and money to get quality although some of the counterfeit one's are very close in appearance. Just not worth the risk to yourself for the sake of a few quid chuck them out.
