I have been using a chimney coil in most of my kayfun / kayfun style attys. It's an amazing flavor maker that imo far surpasses all other builds I have tried. So i thought i see if it could be done in a different form on a RM2. Here is what i did:

Coiled up some 28g Kanthal, i did about 8/9 wrapes around a 3/32 drill bit that came out at about 1.2ohms. after inserting the wires in the posts i positioned the coil as shown. This coil will not be wicked through the center as per normal, instead we will wrap cotton around the outside.

The next part was to line up my coil so that it was right in front of my air hole. The object of this build is to have your air flow right through the center of the coil. Once the coil was correctly positioned (you may need to put on the top cap and eye ball where you need to move the coil so that it lines up perfectly with the air hole) I fire the coil & make any adjustments so that it's glowing evenly, then we wick!

I used a very little amount of cotton, and did one wrap around the outside . Using some liquid to hold it where i wanted it.

My coil is low enough that the wick comes in contact with the deck on the underside of the coil.

I would think i can go lower on the Ohms...normally like to be around .8 will try a lwer resistance soon along with a smaller diameter hole. So far setup as is is working great. Its hard to improve on the flavor of this device as im sure you all know. But compared to the standard micro coil build i think the Flavor is enhanced with the "Fallen Chimney"
eta: Make sure the chimney is slanted a bit to allow the best airflow. the end facing the air hole should be as close to the deck / rim as possible while the other end should be slanted up towards the drip tip. this build does seem to tighten the draw a bit...thats how you know its working =).
