You'll notice a drop off long before you get down to dangerous levels, the AW IMR 1600 have a low discharge limit at 2.5 volts. I've never gone below 3.5 volts before needing to change the battery.

Where you need to be careful is with sub ohm coils and as long as you stay .7 and above you need not worry.

It scares me :( having to constantly worry about whether my battery has enough charge left in it to be considered safe is not something I like thinking about...

You don't have to think about it you will know it long before by the quality of vape. I'm luck if I can ever get a battery down to 3.6 before the vape is poo-pooo. You can go all the way down to 3.3 I think and I can't imagine what kind of anemic vape that would be giving off.

Other Tim... How long does the 18650 last you before reaching that point? And what ohm do you use? I know mileage may vary, just looking for a ball park figure really.

while you're tinkering with the RM2, the $25 HH357 is a fore runner of the Micro coil, sort of; tight wrapped lots of wraps for more surface area for the juice to vaporize… btw the $12 Aero is a spinoff of the 357 and more consistent imo… go LR of course for the Reo.

AW 1600 IMR is best for anything over .7 ohms; lasts a good long time and will drop off around 3.5v

btw you know Rob is building a sub ohms kit (pos pin and batt spring) … don't bother going lower ( i know you're not there yet ) because anything under .8 is going to give the stock Reo setup some trouble.
I know folks are doing it now anyway but i've killed a couple of springs and pos pin/button kits and am waiting for Robs new kit.

Definitely... Have a feeling I might need to try something that burns less easily... No matter how much I squonk the wick seems to get singed. I've used silica before but no how it would taste in a dripper application. The xc116( or 132 forget which one is thinner) might be what I try next... Any thoughts?

132 is thinner. Are u wetting your fingers and making your wick tight? I really haven't had an issue with wicks burning. You can try some peaches and cream yarn too. I didn't like it at first but, last night I rewicked with it before I went to bed. After it soaked all night it does pretty good.
