okay....I said I did not want to mix juice......just did my first mix.
I ordered the m401/402 kit from e-cigarettes.com. Long story short, it took a while to come in because we really wanted artic mint and cherry juice, but that was taking a while, so opted for kona coffee.
I also ordered 36mg unflavoured and two menthol at 18mg from Vapesmart.com. When it came in, they had sent me two 18 mg. Marlboro. Tim offered to make it right, but on further thought, I decided that because my husband and I smoke menthol cigarettes, which have tobacco as well as menthol, I would try my hand at adding menthol to the Marlboro juice.
I want to make it clear that I have no complaints as far as the service from both e-cigarettes and vapsmart are concerned. As far as vapesmart sending the wrong juice...chit happens and he stepped right up with an offer to make it right. Both kept me informed on the status of my orders and were responsive to my inquiries. Delays as far as product just not being available, is not something that these guys have much control over at the moment. I realize that if I am going to make this my main souce of nicotine, I will have to plan well in advance.
Comments on the Johnson Creek juice.....I've tried the vanilla ice cream and the kona coffe so far. Nice. Not as overpowering and sweet as I was afraid they would be. Smooth. No trace of that gagging feeling that I got from the crown 7, that reminded me of the Nicorette inhaler. But, I think I want something that is going to more simulate my analogs, at least for the moment. I could see changing to one of these flavours in the future as my tastes and habits change.
Sooooo, phoned around and found a source in Ottawa for menthol crystals (Watson's pharmacy on Main St., got a weird look, but no questions) and picked some up this afternoon. $5.60 for 15 grams, quite possibly a lifetime supply. Also picked up some food colouring to use the little bottles.
So I have a 7 mL bottle of 18mg juice and a small (2mm ?) crystal of menthol soaking in the fridge. I will give it a try tomorrow.
I really want to give up the analogs for good, and stick with vaping. So far, nothing I've vaped has made me put down the analogs for good. I guess it is going to take some experiementation on my part, something I was hoping to avoid, but worth it in the end. It is early days yet for me.
