I've been reading for awhile, trying to get set up with a kit etc. and learn what it's all about.
All I can say is wow, I totally quit smoking and I can smell again :) I still think I'm detoxing from all the other junk in cigs, my body hasn't reset yet.

I'm using an ego-c...dealing with a few flooding issues when trying new juice. Maybe it's me, but I find the thicker is a little better. I'm going to keep notes on the bases used if/when it happens again & seals. Any other suggestions?

Anyway, I'm sending luv out to the folks in the forum who contribute great info!!! Glad I found this place.

Also....CONGRATS TO ALL THE EX-SMOKERS! WOOHOOO!:toast:

Great to have you here Smile n' shine!!! Great to hear of your success in quitting analogs, just keep that ball rolling.

I have never used the ego-c, however, from what I have read the thinner the juice will lead to leaking issues. If you go too thick or high on the VG base, you will have wicking issues and you will a get dry burnt hit which is no fun at all. I am sure someone here who uses that device will be able to say what blend they have found to work best.

Anyways, Good Luck and look forward to chatting with you here on the forums :D

I have quite a few mods but still rely on my ego's with tanks as my go-to's driving and at work. I use Q-tips quite a bit to keep the atty's clean, and I boil them once a week. I also read somewhere and it works for me, that every so often suck it hard twice without activating the battery and that tends to keep it from dry-burning. I guess the residue on the atty gives it that burnt taste. Also, I replace the tank after 5 or so fillings so the opening is still snug on the atty. Well in any case, that is what I do.

I've always found the Ego tank style systems to never really work.. Try Boges, they always seem trusty to me and never leaked! last a long time as well and on an ego battery with a cone it looks really swish too.

+1 on the Boges

Definitely get the low resistance (LR) 2.0 ohm if you were to try them out Smiles. Thats all I use in connection with the Smoke Tech 1.7 ohm single coil cartos which are also known as ressurectors. They are very consistent and provide great flavor and vapor IMHO.

I get mine here at Crystal Clear Vaping

I recommend the 15 carto bundle, you get a syringe for filling (dont necessarily need to use it although I do on all of my initial fill ups) and a drip tip plus free shipping!!

I've noticed some problems with overusing the tank. Or maybe it's just over using the unit some days.
Today I flooded twice, changed a seal and cleaned the whole thing. I switched over to a cart and it's better for now.
I haven't decided my preference yet between carts, tanks etc. I'm still experimenting. The post office will love me!! :)

Forget the eGo-C and buy whatever I'm using.
Oh wait, that's an eGo-C :)

Of course you need the tank to be pushed in completely.
Seems with thin juice you need a lighter draw than with thick juice. The draw required between a full tank and an low tank changes, especially with thin juice.

When it gets so low with a thin juice that you hold it mouthpiece down you see air above the juice refill it. The lower it gets the easier it flows.

I don't have a preference between the hard caps and soft caps.

I use the Ego C and also had been having a lot of trouble with leaking tanks. Ordered some soft cap replacement caps and little to no leaks now. Though I have had to turn the tank a full 369 degrees the first time with a new soft cap so I don't get a dry hit. Otherwise, the soft cap replacements are a huge improvement.

Oh, and I ordered mine from LiteCigUSA.

Glad you're enjoying your stay. This IS an awesome community! +2 on the Boge cartos for the ego batts. I had the tank system at first, too. Leaking wasn't a huge issue for me, but I was having to replace the atomizer cone every week, even with regular cleaning. Switched to the Boge LR cartos, and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

I have found more leaking issues with a thinner juice, but have encountered it the odd time with the VG. I usually keep an eye on the tank, but maybe I need to work on my draw ( NEWB ALERT :) )
