So, I'm ready to step into rebuildables and mechanical mods and I've been shopping for both. I've been struggling to find a clone mod that I like and that's available and I ran across the fastech site. Their prices are great but I'm wondering whether it's worth saving money and getting a piece of junk? What's the deal with the quality of their products - is it any good or should I stay away from them?

I don't want to jump into all this with name-brand mods, so I'm looking for clones - until I figure out what I like and get a feel for all this stuff. But I still want to get something quality. I was looking for a hcigar Nemesis clone with brushed stainless and brass accents but I can't seem to find one in stock ANYWHERE! That's how I ended up on the fastech site. I'd like to get everything ordered so that I'll have it by the end of next week.

I sure could use some advice, folks!

Thanks for the info. Didn't know they were overseas. I'll find somewhere else.
Don't think you'll find anywhere as cheap that's not overseas. Fasttech is very popular on here by the sounds of things and they seem like an excellent company to deal with if your patient. There are reviews and discussions for each product to get an idea on quality and value for money.

I have placed three orders and out of those 3 I am currently waiting on one of them and it has been two and a half months and I have still not received my order. Fast tech is telling me that I have to wait a total of three months before I can get my money back. In my opinion just pay the extra money to get your stuff faster, because even the items that made it took forever.

I bought a Sparta Mod Clone from Fasttech, and sure, it did take quite a while to arrive at my location; however, the quality is pretty damn good, if I do say so myself. I've had it a little over two months now, and it's never given me any issues. Vapes great, works great, looks great. Can't complain about the quality. Only downer is the shipping time, which is understandable because of their location.

If you read the shipping information for fasttech and pay the extra $1.25 for express shipping instead of the free option and don't order batteries and order something in stock, it'll usually take between 10-14 days door to door.

I've ordered from FT many times with no issues at all.

That said, if you need something in a hurry or have a specific deadline, FT is not for you.

Not sure if you have already done your research about battery and coil safety - if not, I highly recommend you read ECF member Baditude's blogs.

I have ordered from Slow as heck tech and out of nine orders I had problems with 2. The first one was a Black hawk Mod. The main tube had such bad burs that the battery would not fit in. Had to file it down. The second order never showed up. They made me wait three months for it to show and it never did. Now they state they must file a investigation request from the post office and they have two months to look into it. I still have no received a refund.

Here's a few things about FastTech -
1 - They've had some trouble shipping batteries and liquids, but other than that, if your item is IN STOCK, it's usually not too bad. Like 10 days maybe is typical.
2 - You have to KNOW what you're buying. They DO sell cheap crappy clones. They also have good clones. They even sell legitimate name brand stuff sometimes (innokin or kanger). But "Protank Style Atomizer" is NOT a ProTank, LOL. And there will be 12 different Kayfun style atomizers - some good, some crappy. Read the reviews, or buy stuff knowing exactly what it is.
3 - For instance, I've gotten a BUNCH of $5 drip tips - some I use ALL the time, and they're excellent. Some are just crap - but hey, it was $4.
4 - That's the last point. Best prices, if you know what you want and they have it.

My order from FT included batteries. I messaged asking them to split the order in two for shipping purposes to expedite some of it. They split it into 3 shipments: batteries, in-stock items and items with a wait time. Their customer service is top notch! Only order from them what you don't need right now (ie: make certain that you have access to vaping gear that will last until your order arrives).

Sometimes they are a little slow-but otherwise they seem ok to me. Nice prices on a lot of things.

Read the discussions, not the reviews. The discussions have much better info (and usually much more accurate). There's a bunch of guys on there who love to critique each new design or version of something.

FastTech is actually very good about differentiating between authentic stuff and clones. If the title has the word "style" in it, it's a clone. If it has the word "authentic" it's authentic.

They do carry a lot of high-quality stuff, both authentic and clones. There is some junk, though. Also, there's a couple of Chinese holidays (a big one in January, and one Oct 1-7, so now is not the best time to buy from them! (The problem with the chinese holidays is that not only does FT get bogged down, their postal system gets totally clogged up as well, so things can take MUCH longer and are more likely to get lost during shipping.

I use FT for lots of things. Have placed 32 orders with them (just went and counted) and only one was lost. It did take a while for them to credit me for the lost one. (And I tried to sneak that one in before the January holiday, but missed).

They do have a lot of good merchandise, and some crap (particularly with heads, do your research on those!). As people have said, if you need stuff by some particular deadline, go elsewhere. But if you are looking for good equipment at very low prices and are willing to be patient, they're the place to go.

There's a stack of Chinese holidays coming up, so be warned it may be a minefield.

Ahh i found the details on healthcabin:
We will stop shipping orders from Sep 29 to Oct 6(-0500GMT) because of China National Day.
Orders placed untill 23:59:59 Sep 28 will be shipped before our holiday. Orders placed during the holiday will be shipped from Oct 7th.

However I find them awesome. Great range, great clones, I vaguely remember seeing a youtube video where the guy claimed the clone was better than the original!
