Just received most recent fastech order, mostly RDAs and a mech box mod. Prices were good, shipping fast and everything arrived intact.

Only thing is, everything looked like it had been picked over. Original inner bags were all opened, scratches and scuffs on stuff, that sort of thing. Nothing looked like it was actually used but definitely taken out of the package and handled quite a bit. Anyone else have a similar experience? I'm wondering where they would get so much stuff in that condition that my entire order was that way.

Maybe that typhoon hit them and damaged building? Nope, it wouldn't have gotten here that quick.

While I've been waiting for a gold kayfun clone, fasttech has been waiting for the manufacturer to replentish their stock. Fasttech has been very good about it, explaining the problem & offering a refund, etc. I chose to wait.

Then I unexpectedly received a golden kafun clone in the condition you described. The quality was poor & the usual paperwork was not included. It went directly into my spare parts stash.

A day later, I was notified that the fresh supply had arrived & my order was being shipped. Apparently the 1st one was free, perhaps a gift for waiting.

I suspect they've been cleaning their storage area.

contact fastech.
it sounds like you received returned goods.
is everything is in good working order perhaps
they will discount your purchase as a way to remedy
the problem.
if not send it back and demand a refund.
the items most likely were incompatible with
the original purchasers gear.
any returned broken items should have been
discarded or repaired.
fastech may not have the best costumer service
but,their not all that bad.
regards
mike

I was almost ready to buy my second Nemesis, but they had just gone OOS. Two days later, there were three available. I hit the button, knowing that I otherwise might have had to wait weeks. It arrived packaged as usual, with no scratches. Don't know where they found it.

I have done Many orders from FT. I haven't ever received Anything that looked like it was a Previously Returned Item. Or something that wasn't OEM New.

I would Submit a Ticket ASAP.

It depends what product you buy.
Things in frequent demand sell out fast, they get new production delivered frequently, so chances you get something straight from the factory are quite high.
I usually buy only things they list under "New Arrivals", where they can't have any returned yet and that's always brandnew.

Products they have in stock in large quantities and are not so much in demand anymore is a different story.
Recently I had to replace an old Vamo V3 of mine, bought a new one from FT and received one that was obviously not new.
It works and is definately "almost" new, so no complaints from me.

Whether or not they have something in stock, where you might get a used one, you can usually see in the difference between "In stock" and "Ships in x business days".

I've never had this with a Fasttech order, however my Fasttech orders usually come into the US through San Francisco for customs inspection and it's usually in and out in a day.

I've had orders from other vendors come in via New York get opened and just generally hang out for anywhere from a couple days to 14 days.

My last Chinese direct buy, non-vape related came in via Chicago and was definitely opened as the envelope was taped shut and the product box had damage from where the sealing tape was removed, thus removing a portion of the cardboard box's design. It also sat in Chicago for 5 days before it was released.

This isn't related to Fasttech, but one time I had ordered 4 brake rotors and complete sets of front and rear pads online. Received the packages and they sat for a few weeks until I was able to get around to my mechanic to get the brakes done. Everything went fine until my mechanic went to put the last brake rotor on. He opened the box and inside it was an old, worn out and rusted rotor. Apparently someone bought the rotor, stuck their old one in the box and then returned it to get their money back and apparently the seller didn't even bother to check and just put it back on the shelf for resale. Contacted the seller and after sending him pics of the rotor that I received, they said I could either have them ship me a replacement, or they would refund me for the one rotor. My mechanic ended up having to get a rotor for me from his supplier, which obviously cost more. The problem with getting the refund though, was because I had bought the rotors and pads as a complete brake package, the amount that they refunded me for the rotor was much less than what the single rotor cost.

Ever since then, I always open and inspect every package I get right away, even if I don't plan on using it for a while.

Thanks to everyone for the replies. I am glad to learn this is not a common occurrence. This was my first fastech order in a couple of years so I was disappointed with what came in versus the quality of what I received in the past. Never had any issues before.

Based on the good advice here, I plan to open a ticket for the scratched mods and mention the opened RDAs. I don't plan to return anything -- just too much hassle for wear marks and scratches that I'll inevitably get in them soon enough anyway, but I'm interested to see what they're willing to do to make up for what they sent me.

I don't think it was customs that opened it all up based on how much obvious handling everything had. I'm not completely dissatisfied with any of it because the "price was right" and everything does function satisfactorily but it was just very weird that everything in the order was in that condition.

JSYK.

If you do Have to ever send something Back to FT. It doesn't get sent to China. They have a "State Side" return address. Which is good because there is No Customs Form to fill out.

I should make mention - in an a attempt to keep shipping cost at a minimum(it is free to us) Almost all china wholesalers(w/free shp) will strip down or lean out packing as much as possible.
Manufacturers will also sent shipments to suppliers with parts in nothing but a cellophane bag.
I have received lower cost mods and RDA Bag packed only and crammed in with nicer pieces almost guarantying scratches. I have had this happen with several bulk purchases from a couple of China supply houses.
Now, that said, if it says/shows a box, with FT it was always in a box.

I submitted a ticket with the obligatory pictures of the scratched items. No big deal either way but I'm curious to see how they ultimately resolve it.

Seems no one else is having issues so I will continue to shop there. Maybe it was just isolated bad luck with that order (or maybe they just don't like me lol).
